Early Light Academy

"My kindergartener doesn't know her days or months of the year. She didn't learn any of that from school. The classroom impact was very small because this school and every Utah classroom is over filled. My daughter had 28 kids in her classroom. Her learning was impaired by the mass chaotic feeling she would tell me about everyday. She said it was hard to learn in her class because it was so loud every day. I will say my daughter did make it to level 5 in Lexia, whatever that means. My daughter's handwriting improved quite a bit but I feel bad that she was one of the kids who worked hard while there were many distractions. My son didn't like his experience here. He said he had to put his head down a lot because the classroom was too loud, too often. Although, I will say I loved that ELA put my son in 3rd grade math every day and he loved it! THANK YOU!!! My kids loved the Space Simulator room and I was impressed with the music teacher and the music room. Very professional theatre room as well! The last straw for me was the gridlocked situation for pickup. The school has been trying so hard to get land to expand and to make it a safer place to pick up kids. The staff works really hard to keep kids safe during pickup. The teachers work so hard during and after school."

"I have had a great experience at ELA. I stayed at ELA for TEN YEARS (kindergarten-9th). I love the teachers and staff, it was so fun to be with them through my whole elementary and Jr. High experience. They are extremely nice and are always willing to help. I'm not exactly a straight A student but they were always there to help me through it. I enjoyed having a relationship with all of the teachers. It was cool to see your elementary teachers everyday and to help elementary kids. Having my little brother in the elementary building was cool because he got some of the same teachers that I had. With the teachers being awesome, there are so many class options that you can choose from. I have so many different experiences from the many classes that I took. Even though Covid hit I still think they tried their best to modify and help each student. Volleyball is the sport that I play, ELA really helped me get better at the sport. I had different coaches each year and they were all awesome. It was really fun to continue to grow with my teammates. In elementary school I did a lot of theatre productions. I think that they have the best auditorium than most schools have. Seeing other highschools and elementary school auditoriums I've realized how much better their music and theatre productions really are. I know that this is a long and probably boring review about the random experiences that I've had but I really think that this is a good school to look into. I'm going to really miss all of my elementary friends and my teachers. They really prepared me for highschool. Thank you :))"

"Best school ever!! We are so excited to live near the school and to have been admitted. The leadership does a gr at job, best staff and they really take care of our kids! We feel safe when they're there and they're learning so much. It's a positive atmosphere and they don't let problems with kids fester."

"This is definitely the best school ever! I’ve only been here for 1 year but it’s the greatest switch I’ve ever done. Everyone is so welcoming and there’s not bullying issues, from what I know of. We are taught about mental health (in middle school) and self esteem, which is super nice. The staff is fantastic and my two cousins and my brother go here and they love it so much! The elementary is super good too! Early light is definitely the greatest!"

"Early Light Academy is a wonderful school. My kids have all had great experiences there . We liked it so much I applied to be a classroom aide and being an employee has been an excellent experience too. The staff is supportive and works well together. Sydney Young and the Board are good administrators and always tries to do what is in the best interest of the school, the parents, and the students. It's a great place to work and to attend school. I especially appreciate the amazing Special Ed team, the smaller class sizes, and a community that cares about the welfare of each student."
