"I just had my sleep study last night and it was a great experience. I appreciated Tiffany for truly making ever effort to answer my questions. She is kind and very skilled! I also appreciated the scheduling staff. Also very kind and answered all my questions."
"there are better study centers - shoudn't start with a mask on - everyone would have sleep apnea with a mask on. Start without..sleep in your NORMAL sleep position..let them wake you up to add mask if necessary."
"The techs make you feel comfortable. I had lots of questions and my tech was knowledgeable and patient. The bed was comfortable and I felt at ease. Getting results quickly depends highly on your referring doctor. The staff at the sleep center are very efficient and timely in getting results back to your doctor."
"My brother-in-law was referred to the Sleep Center from a Pain Management Clinic. There was some urgency so we made an appointment the next day. Our experience with the lab was wonderful....the tech (Brook) answered all our questions, made my B-I-L feel very comfortable and was in every way, professional. A few days later we received a call informing us we needed to make an appointment to confer with the doctor. The appointment was FIVE WEEKS OUT. Unacceptable!! What does it say about a practice that has ONE doctor to deal with the dozens of patients that are tested weekly? How is that service? I realize that is not the fault of the office staff. They were successful finding an earlier appointment and called my sister. They knew how badly she wanted the appointment but when she did not answer (couldn't get to the phone in time), they moved on and offered it to the next person. Why? I'm guessing it for their convenience. IHC...are you out there? You are always sending me some stupid questionnaire, wanting my opinion on all aspects of their "care." Here's a few suggestions: 1) Don't offer a "service" that you can't staff adequately. 2) Ask your office staffs to RETURN phone calls. 3) Provide medical care 7 days a week and require doctors to have someone cover their practice when they are gone. In Utah County, if you get sick Thursday at 5:00 pm, you are tough out of luck. Don't count on the AF Sleep Center to get you or your loved ones into a doctor anytime soon. Ironic that a man who stops breathing 15-20 times a night is not considered high priority, isn't it? I would have given them ZERO stars if it were possible."
"My husband has had problems with snoring and being extremely difficult to wake for several years. He would fall asleep during conversatioms with family and was having a very difficult time staying awake during his commute to work. He was referred here for a sleep study to see if he had sleep apnea back at the beginning of March. After having the test done we were told it would take up to two weeks to get the results back. We called multiple times towards the end of the two weeks for the results only to be told that no one had looked them over yet. Approaching the four week mark we finally got a call saying that the results were ready but could not be given over the phone; my husband had to go in and talk to the doctor. But they couldn't see him until the end of April. Having just had twins, we wanted to get the results sooner and get some relief for my husband. We switched to a neurologist who also specialized in sleep. This doctor told us that the doctor at the AF sleep lab said that my husband didn't need a machine and to try "natural remedies" despite that his oxygen levels were considered too low. Our new doctor insisted that my husband needed a C-PAP machine and tried to set up another sleep study at his office to get this oxygen numbers and get him a machine. However due to issues with our insurance we had to go back to the AF sleep center. The new doctor got my husband in right away. We were told once again it would be two weeks for the results. It has now been SIX WEEKS since the second study and despite several calls every day from our current doctor and multiple calls a week from my husband they continue to claim they do not have the results! This whole ordeal has now taken three months. Everyone else I have talked to who uses a sleep machine got theirs within two weeks and here we are still getting the runaround. I do not and will NEVER recommend this sleep center to anyone! It does not take THREE MONTHS to get a C-PAP machine!"
