"I had such a good experience, the ladies that work here are so helpful and nice. Way better than planned parent hood lol"
"Grateful for this clinic but… I got pregnant with a copper iud and my OB was able to remove it due to incorrect placement but due to Utah laws was not able to perform a termination. I had two choices, here and planned parenthood. I was really happy that this clinic could get me in so soon. My consult with the nurse was so good, she was so calm and supportive and really made me feel at ease. I honestly felt 100% emotionally and physically ready and accepting of my decision since I had taken preventative measures, and am sure that I don’t want biological children— especially not at this time. I chose surgical which was a 10-15 minute procedure. I was excited for my procedure, because I had been so sick during the early pregnancy, I was miserable. There was a second nurse who did my ultrasound, shots and the rest of the process and she was really cool at first however I was really disappointed with the procedure itself. It felt rushed. I have never had a speculum inserted so quickly (and I have had bad male OB’s in the past), I was given 4 shots for local anesthesia and I could feel my body tensing. I have a good pain tolerance however I flinched twice and all I needed was 10 seconds to relax and lay my bum flat against the table. When I voiced that I needed a second I feel like I got disregarded, I was told that I needed to stay still or I could get hurt. I cried during this part, not from pain, but from discomfort because I felt violated with how quick things were being done and that my comfort wasn’t being taken into consideration. And this is coming from someone who was 100% happy with my choice. I can’t imagine how traumatizing this would’ve been for someone who was unsure of their choice, or someone having a more difficult time. Luckily my boyfriend was there and I was able to hold his hand for the remainder of the procedure and he helped soothe me. They had snacks and a heating pad after which was awesome. They gave a Xanax prior to the procedure which I HIGHLY recommend. I could not have done it without that. Luckily, even though I was annoyed, I was able to go home and sleep for the rest of the night. I’m still grateful for this clinic and the work they do, but I did leave wondering if the doctor hated women or if this was just protocol. Giving 3 stars because over all it was a good experience and got the job done, I just want people to be aware of how quick the procedure is and hopefully you can speak up or ask questions or have whoever is with you speak up if needed. Again, unsure if this is typical protocol but there was 4 other girls in and out at the time of my visit so my thinking is that it’s just a way for them to make quick money. I will update this once I visit my OB and make sure everything is okay, cleared out and there were no injuries sustained."
"The ultrasound tech or nurse was extremely rude, the way the interaction went left me feeling like this wasn’t the right place and I didn’t trust her with my medical needs. I even started doubting their sanitation protocols. The lack of medicinal knowledge was astounding too and I’m in the science field. Also discussing patient info in front of others is such a hippa violation. Eventually I decided to go with my gut and went to planned parenthood metro. Everyone there was so much more empathetic and willing to explain stuff I’d questions on. I felt more safe and like I was in good hands with medical professionals who were both professional and knowledgeable in the field. Go to planned parenthood instead."
"The nurses here made a very uncomfortable and hard situation a lot easier. I originally went to planned parenthood but just didn’t feel the best about it. I contacted this clinic and was able to get in the next day. They didn’t question me like planned parent hood does and I didn’t feel at all judged. They were very nice and provided me all the information I needed and made sure to get me in when I needed too. Again a good experience for a not so great situation. I would definitely recommend going here if you are considering receiving an abortion."
"******I’m updating my review to say a few things. I was given a surgical procedure here a month ago. I just got out of the hospital, and had to do a repeat D&E because I had an incomplete abortion, which left me with a bad infection, and retained product I could not pass on my own, and I’m on antibiotics and still not even out of the woods yet. So, take that as you will, as the hospital staff said it shouldn’t have happened to begin with. If you’re ever feeling off about it, get it checked. I was going to ignore it until I physically wasn’t able to anymore and almost collapsed from the infection. Stay safe everyone.***** I can’t thank this clinic, and the amazing women there enough for helping me out! I had originally gone to Planned Parenthood and the women over there have zero compassion, zero communication skills, and left me with more questions than answers, and refused to see me because I unfortunately didn’t have proper ID. They also all sat there in the same room as me and started talking about me like I didn’t exist, and I left feeling defeated. I ended up being luckily enough to get over here to Wasatch and was immediately brought in to do my informed consent, and was able to get the whole ID situation and stuff handled that same day, as well as get an appointment for that following weekend. They answered all of my questions, and they were so incredibly kind. I wish I remember the woman’s name I dealt with both times, cause she made such a huge difference for me! The procedure itself was done with compassion, and it was done thoroughly and handled quickly! They talked to you the whole time to explain everything, and to help make you feel more comfortable, and the other woman also just went over paperwork with me and explained everything really well! Their prices are incredibly fair and reasonable, and fixed rates, as opposed to the constant changing pricing and sliding fee scale over at PP. Their informed consent here is also free, and PP charges $20. So, I can’t recommend this place enough for their kind staff, and the way they’re willing to help you out in any way that they can, and offer compassion. If you need this specific procedure done, please come here! They’ll go over anything you want to discuss or talk about and help you out the best they can!"
