"this is either the 3rd or 4th time i’m writing a review after the past have been deleted. elevations is a scared and cowardly group of adults who get off on abusing kids. i went in with anger issues and depression, and i left with ptsd, severe anxiety and depression, trust issues, and to this day it’s so hard for me to connect with authoritative figures, and even people my own age. elevations is nothing but blank white walls washed in florescent lights that keeps kids locked up and scared. WE HAD LESS RIGHTS THAN DEATH ROW INMATES!!!! while i was at elevations, from october 2019 to june 2021, we even had to get posters put up of a list of the “rights” we had as patients at elevations, and none of them were even accurate. they did so many unnecessary blood draws on me that the crook of my elbow is permanently bruised and green. the lack of medical care, lack of engaging activities, forced to go to school when we weren’t there for an education, we were there to get help from people who genuinely want to help us. i can count on one freaking hand the amount of staff that i felt genuinely cared about me and my friends. if you send your child here, that’s going to be on your conscience but for the sake of all of us in recovery, please please read the reviews and reconsider your options. i wish my parents did. edit- i forgot to add that if you are LGBT and think that this place is accepting bc of the big pride flag hanging on the pole in the courtyard, i was shut out by my peers because im trans, and especially by staff. the second we talked about gender or sexuality it was shut down, but some staff loved attempting to convert us to being mormon. this one morning staff, Rhett, would tell me that my family should be disappointed in me bc if my lifestyle choices, and then when i would get upset (bc no one wants to hear that) he’d tell me to just pray the sin away"
