"Woke up with pink eye one morning and my original doctor choice had no available appointments, so I took the next provider on the list. Dr. Baires. It was not an unpleasant experience, not many things that last 3 minutes can be that unpleasant. (That’s how long he was in the room, if you didn’t catch that). I had to take my kids with me on account of it being a last minute appointment and if I had pink eye, I didn’t want to infect anyone else should my kids be contagious. He seemed perturbed they were there. Didn’t acknowledge their presence except to have a power struggle with my 4 year old of who should shut the door. Yeah. I told him my lymph nodes in my neck were swollen and my throat hurt and then the symptoms about my eye. He looked at my eye and said I needed antibiotic drops - nothing about what he thought I had, that was literally it. He did not even touch my neck to feel the nodes. He asked me twice if I wanted to be tested for strep. I don’t get strep, I never have. And I don’t have strep now. He heard that my son had bronchitis a week ago and nodded his head and said I would probably develop a cough. No questions, no explanations, no eye swab, no reasons for lack of eye swab, hardly looked at me, made no conversation - I mean, I don’t want to be there all day but a simple “how do you do” would suffice! We waited 20 minutes for him to be there for MAYBE 4. And then I was so shocked that he was done and leaving the room that I just sat there and stared at him. He turned around and said “you can go now.” .. I waited a day to write this review because I was extremely unhappy with that experience. I guess I’ve just been spoiled with personable doctors who ask questions and explain things to make sure the prescribed care will be accurate. I got the eye drops, they seem to be working, which is great, but nothing was said about my sore throat. I couldn’t believe this experience. Usually I have nothing but the best experiences at this location and I can rave about the Allred pediatricians all day long. This was just sad. No other way to put it. I will say the nurse that took my vitals was lovely and she talked to my children and was more than happy talking to me. I didn’t catch her name, but she was wonderful."
"I feel Dr an Aires is very knowledgeable , and professional. His Nurse is the best nurse I have ever experienced at Ogden Clinic. She has a way of relieving the stress of a Dr visit and is also very professional. A valuable asset to Ogden Clinic!"
"Checking in and wait time was great. This is my third time getting Dr. Enrique Baires, he was in and out of my room in less then 3 minutes. I don’t feel he is very personable and does not really care. I get they are busy, but every time I have seen him he has never been able to give me an answer to what is going on. The nurses are more helpful than him. If you go there I suggest requesting someone else."
"This is the second time I or a family member have been seen by this doctor. The first time was when my son was in a car accident. He was very dismissive and didn’t give him a very thorough exam. The doctor said my son was fine. After getting a second opinion, my son had to have physical therapy and chiropractic care for several months. When my daughter and I were seen on this occasion he seemed as though he didn’t really know what he was doing or didn’t care. When listening to our heart and lungs he moved the stethoscope so quickly there is no way he heard anything but the air passing through it as he was moving it from one place to the next. I will make sure the clinic does not schedule me or my family members with this doctor in the future."
"When I called to get an appointment ny doctor was booked so they asked if I was okay with seeing Enrique. I had never seen him before but I need to be seen so I said sure. When I got into the exam room the MA did the Covid, Influenza and Strep tests. Said the doctor would be in after he got the results. When the doctor came in he told me that all the tests were negative so I just have a virus. Great but I have asthma and get bronchitis often so I asked if he'd check my lungs. He told me to take a few deep breaths and then put his stethoscope all over my back so quickly in my first breath that there's no way that the could hear my lungs clearly. I then said that my ears have been plugged for 5 days and have deep pain. He then put the otoscope in my ear but was standing so far away that he didn't even look in it. Usually doctors put it in your ear and then look in it. He did not!! He once again said that I just have a virus. He had made up his mind before coming into my exam room what was wrong with me and didn't care to actually examine me. It was a waste of my time and definitely my money. I will not go back to him. Oh and I work at a doctor's office so I know how they should check ears and lungs. It was ridiculous!"
