"I was needing to take a CPR class for a training and found them on the list of certified CPR classes. Registering was easy and I was signed up fast. I even sent some messages to them and asked them other questions and got a reply fast. The training was comprehensive and I enjoyed and learned."
"Make sure to get a physical copy of your card before you leave. Make sure to save the link, print out a copy of your ecard and keep it somewhere safe....i was trusting enough to accept an ecard. Worked out great at first because I was just able to forward the email to my employer but the problem arised when I moved out of state and had a new employer that needed a copy. My email automatically deleted the ecard link due to it being over 90 days old (which is not an act of caring's fault at all). I contacted the number listed here via text and explained what had happened and asked for the email to be resent or how I could go about getting a new copy of the card. Got a response the same day saying "I will a search and send it this afternoon". No link was ever sent and I got a text asking how I initially got my card; ecard or hard copy. I wrote back the same day and gave more details. 3 days later I finally got a text saying that there was some trouble locating my card, and wanting more details about who the instructor was, the same day I texted back and gave all the details I could about the instructor, the time ,the date, etc.....a whole week went by and I still had not heard back to this day. I even explained that I was going to be forced to take a new course and pay someone again for a certification that I already had and doesn't seem like it should be that hard to verify from the business stand point. There was never any warning given about not being able to verify certification in the future, I wonder how they help employers? I am assuming that I am not the only person that this has happened to before and there has to be some way to pull up and verify a certificate. The one thing that really bothers me is that if they really couldn't have found my card then just communicate that to me and let me make arrangements, it's not professional or even nice to leave people hanging especially when their livelihood is on the line, I wouldn't even be writing this review if they had cared enough to communicate with me."
"I arrived to my scheduled CPR renewal class early, only to find no one there. Moments later, Cheryl Ward (the owner/instructor) called me and said she was running 5 minutes late. Then about 20 minutes after that, she called again saying she is "just up the road" and would be there shortly. Finally she arrived to class about half an hour after start time, and the first thing that she told me was "let's hurry and get you done." She then asked for my pre-test, and I said what pre-test. She went on to say that this was only a Skills Pass Off class. Never in previous communications, whether via email or phone, did she mention the requirement for a pre-test even though I clearly stated on the phone that I was scheduling for a renewal, rather than a new certification. I then told her that I was not aware of this pre-test and asked if there was anything she could do to help me, especially since I drove an hour, and arrived on time, just to get to her class. She replied, "No.. sorry." So I ended up leaving without completing the scheduled class, and having my job in jeopardy since i was not able to renew my certification."
"Professional, fast paced and very educational! I learned quite a few new tips and I've been doing this for years! The teachers are great. Would highly recommend!"
"The BLS for healthcare providers was fast-paced, to the point and prepared me to pass the exam. Cherie and Curt were very kind and fun to interact with. Highly recommend An Act of Caring to get certified."
