"Excellent Korean Katsu joint and definitely a new hidden gem in the strip area on 9000 S. I stumbled upon this place, looked very authentic so decided to give it a shot tonight. We got the curry and king katsu and holy moly, both were excellent. Ginormous portions of delicious katsu fried to sheer perfection. Crispy, crunchy, absolutely ideal outer crisp and lovely perfect chicken on the inner. Curry was seasoned perfectly in addition to the king katsu sauce which was an ideal compliment with the kimchi sides giving it a perfect balance of sweet, sour, crispy, with the cabbage side and white rice and miso. We were very very satisfied and had to take leftovers because the king katsu was 2xs the size of my hand. I was so full and so extremely happy. It’s always such a breath of fresh air to find authentic places that truly have good food especially when it’s homemade and fresh. This is a mom and pop shop, you come in and the style is very much so you’re eating at someone’s house in a fast dining casual environment. The katsu is hand made and fresh from when you order it and it comes out on a giant plate. Service was on point, fast and friendly. They also have spicy bulgogi and udon options which I look forward to trying, will absolutely be back- this place will easily become a katsu staple for us. Absolutely some of the best katsu I’ve had and definitely the only Korean katsu I’ve had in SLC at this quality and level!!"
"Best Katsu! This is the katsu I've been looking for. So crispy! Not too much breading. The tteokboki is delicious and the radish kimchi is to die for. Keep in mind this is a small family run place. Please pay review the hours of operation before visiting as they are only open on a limited basis. Seating is also limited so it's best to plan around busy times."
"Best katsu I’ve ever had. Light, flaky coating, tender meat. I loved the cabbage and katsu sauce on the side. We got the king katsu and the sheer size of it is something you have to see! We also tried the chicken katsu and it was just as good as the pork. I can’t wait to go back to try the curry and cheese katsu. This is a no frills place that feels like you are in someone’s home. Each entree comes with miso soup, which is some of the best I’ve had."
"This is one of my favorite spots of all time. I was a regular at the old location and was very sad when it closed. My wife and I were so excited when we found out they reopened! Normally I don't care about katsu, but this place is the exception. They focus so much on the quality of everything they serve. The breadcrumbs are light and very crispy while the meat is incredibly tender. Easily the best katsu and breaded meat in general that I've ever had in my life. We got the cheese katsu and the tomahawk. I personally prefer the sirloin katsu but they are all so good that you can't go wrong. The only downside to this place is that they no longer serve the cream soup and mandu like they did at their old location. The mandu was insanely good. Hopefully they'll bring it back one day. Everything here is incredible and people need to know about it."
"I'm glad this place is back again! Their katsus are great as always, and their new place is smaller than their previous place. The food is still delicious though. Chicken katsu is more mild-tasting than their other katsus. The size of king katsu is really big. Their cheese katsu has a lot of cheese inside, so if you like cheese, you'll like it. Honestly, all of their menus are great. I hope they plan on adding their older menus like bingsu."
