Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

"We have come to this location twice a month for years. One other time recently we had an issue and again today. We always get curbside pickup and give them lots of time to have it ready. Today not only after app telling me it is ready we waited 20 more minutes. Finally walk in to get it and they aren’t even busy. My food is ready but now cold and 4 employees are just standing around by the take out register. Then we get home and our serving sizes are half of normal. I don’t think I even had a tablespoon of sweet pork, the whole thing (rice, beans, lettuce) would have fit in the palm of my hand. Should have taken a picture."

"Im usually not one to leave reviews unless I’m appalled with the service, but here we are. I am so upset with Cafe Rio’s takeout orders. My boyfriend and I love Cafe Rio, but we never order it anymore unless we can go in-person because the takeout is HORRIBLE. Last night I was craving my double tacos but we had had a couple drinks. Against my better judgement, we ordered online. When it arrived, my chicken tacos only had tortilla and chicken. No cheese, no lettuce, no pico. Literally just chicken on a dry tortilla. I don’t even put any modifications on the tacos, but my boyfriend gets double rice and no beans on his burrito and 99% of the time it’s correct. With no modifiers on the tacos, I don’t know why it’s so hard to remember how to make a normal menu item. I swear every time I order after 7 the employees must be high. I will not be ordering from Cafe Rio again unless I can go in-person, because at least then I can watch them to make sure they get it right. I attached both photos of the tacos and as you can see it’s just chicken and tortilla on both."

"For whatever reason, this location just canNOT figure it out. They used to be great and it kills me that they’re not anymore. For a little while it would be just a little hit or miss, but now it’s just wrong all the time if you’re not ordering in person and supervising them. Seriously, down to the fact that A TOSTADA HAS SHREDDED LETTUCE!! Can’t even ask for shredded lettuce when ordering online because it comes with it, yet somehow they still plop on giant chunks of lettuce. Regular salad ordered instead, request shredded lettuce as an official substitution, and they don’t care about that either. No shredded lettuce accuracy here! It is the simplest thing but seemingly impossible to get right despite repeated feedback to their customer service over the past few years so I guess here’s a review. "I came to Cafe Rio today. I previously thought that this Cafe Rio was the best from the nearby, but today I was extremely disappointed after I got home and saw this, my smothered burrito seemed like a child's plate meal and bearly any sauce. This is pathetic. We paid regular meal price not a child meal. I used to love to go to this place versus the west valley one because of the quality of food. I don't think I ever will be coming to this Cafe Rio. I added a picture of what was inside the burrito."

"They gave me the wrong meat. They didn't ask us if we would like any kind of substitution when I arrived to pick up my order. We paid an extra 2 dollars for each of the steak entree only to not receive it! I would like a refund!"
