"My 15 year old needed an MRI and we made an appointment to come in at 4:30 on a weekday. Despite indicating we would arrive 1 minute late for the appointment via Google Maps, we hit unforeseen traffic and arrived more like 5-6 minutes late. I apologized upon walking in, but one the receptionists was quite abrupt and somewhat unkind with her disapproval of our tardiness. From her perspective, I can understand being frustrated as they have a set schedule to adhere to and they still needed me to fill out some online paperwork I was not previously aware of; however, there still isn’t a need to talk down to people in any circumstance. A nurse took my daughter back and whether intended to or not, my daughter felt based on her actions that she was too forceful when spoken to and when the nurse handed her the gown, especially since she is still a kid who was nervous about her first MRI… The nurse also handed my daughter headphones with music playing to block out the loud beeping of the machine, but my daughter said the music could hardly be heard. My daughter came out and confessed that she literally was praying her heart out because the loud constant beeping, along with having to hold still for such a long period of time with the beeping. She said she had to hold in crying with how terrible the experience was. My daughter’s experience in the machine may be fairly common, but the experience as a whole could have improved. Knowing what I know now, I’d change things on our end, like being on time and now I know to speak to the nurse to see if the volume for the music could be turned up if possible. We’re all just learning!"
"This was the first time I'd been to Tellica and I was confused about what my insurance would cover. The front desk was patient and kind and gave me some time to call my insurance. Then, once the sweet technician came and got me for my scan, she could tell I was confused and took as much time as needed to explain the process to me. She was thoughtful and understanding about my anxiety with testing. I appreciated the office staff and technicians on the whole! They did a great job!"
"People were friendly and professional. Offices are clean and comfortable. I was in and out quickly and the IV stick was smooth and painless. She did a great job with that and explaining things every step of the way. I never felt rushed or just a number. I would use them again!"
