Garner Hotel Oklahoma City - Quail Springs, an IHG Hotel

"The hotel was very recently remodeled, but unfortunately, it is just lipstick on a pig. There were some weird smells in the hallway and by the elevator like garbage. The bathroom countertop was installed incorrectly and tilted forward so some of my toiletries would roll off or fall over. I had a hot tub in the room so I decided to use it and I turned on the water but I noticed it was very low flow And the faucet itself was hardly even attached. It was on for about an hour and a half and only filled up the hot tub about 2 inches. There were some type of substitute magnetic drain plug cover that was magnetic instead of fixing the correct one and I heard the water leaking out when I turned off the faucet finally. I can only wonder if anyone tried to turn it on since it was installed or the room was remodeled, but the current set up is hilarious because it would never fill up the tub. Even if the drain worked, the low water pressure would take hours to fill up. My TV remote worked at first and then it stopped working so I went down to the desk and they tried to change the batteries but that did not work and then they came up to the room and tried a different remote but that did not work either and it was later in the evening so they said they would change out the TV the next day, but I just checked out and switched hotels. Way too much broken stuff and nothing is worse than Maintenance fixing stuff in your room while you’re in there trying to work or sleep. The most edible thing at breakfast was the coffee from the instant brewing machine."

"Room did not have an ice bucket. No coffeemaker. There's not a hot tub. Could hear the people above us. It had a mini fridge and a microwave. Bed was comfortable. Overall, it's okay."

"Great well appointed hotel and rooms. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our visit was totally spoiled by one of the worst breakfasts we have ever had. We went to breakfast 30 minutes before closing. There were two slices of white bead. and one muffin. No wheat bread or bagels. Porridge was stuck to the bottom of the recepticle. Scrambled eggs were dried out and browning. During our time there, about 15 minutes, there was no one in attendance to ask about further supplies and no one came to the reception desk either for us to complain. I have photos if anyone is interested. Coffee was good."

"The shower on/off fixture is permanently screwed so the water never gets hot it's just a mild warm, most of the toilet seats are broken. The last time I went there was a shower cap over the smoke detector. Pretty ingenious idea from previous person that stayed. The microwave in the units were always broken or fridge didn't work. My favorite thing was nothing. When turning on the heat it smelled like a fire was going to erupt. I highly don't recommend this place even a little bit. Was comfort inn but nothing has changed."

"Oh wow, where do I even start with this gem? The spot is just unbeatable, right across from a really good mall and movie theater, and oh, the food options around here is just spot on – The beds and pillows are super comfy, no kidding! And breakfast was super good. Don't even get me started on the indoor pool, always the perfect temp for a relaxing dip. Everybody was so incredibly friendly and welcoming."
