"I can only review on what I saw yesterday evening when I went to scope out the kids class before entering my daughters. Class times on the web site are wrong & have been for awhile now. As we entered the gym no one greeted us expect for the parents with their glaring eyes. Lol. There were kids running around using kick shields as trampolines. It looked as if they had a daycare room but there was no one in it. We watched class for a LONG 5 minutes. The coach preceded to yell minimal instruction’s over loud rap music. I’m from the west coast I love rap, but during a “kids class”? Jiu jitsu is a lot about focus and concentration, kind of hard to do for an adult let alone a kid when so much chaos is going on. A young girl ran off the mats crying because a boy she was training with held a choke to long and she was freaked out because she couldn’t breathe. Which I wouldn’t blame the coach he might as well have been running the show by himself hard to see everything. His assistant was more of a spectator then a coach. But then the coach preceded to ask the boy what happened then rolled his eyes and shrugged his shoulders like the young girl was being crazy. He didn’t even check on the girl. As parents it is our job to make sure our kids are training in a safe positive environment especially when your doing chokes & joint manipulation where people can be seriously injured. As a martial artist myself I feel the responsibility to our community to leave this review."
