"The most wonderful people kindest individuals. Why someone has not given them five stars I will never understand. I have been purchasing from them over the years for my buckskin mountain man and craft needs. Friendly personable, not many businesses that you can walk into and just talk and visit with the owners. They have been in business for over 50 years, I would recommend that you need crafting leatherwork, Native American regalia mountain man gear black powder just the kindest people thank you again so much . "I bought two pair with of their white latigo. Not only were the blanks thin and flanky but 5 inches is not near wide enough to make soles for myself. I won't be ordering a thing from you guys ever again. I tried to email but was told by the email postmaster there's no such place. If it wasn't such a pain to send back they'd already be in the mail."
"I'm only giving it a 2 stars because it was fast shipping. Fast shipping of some CHEAPLY made sage sticks that are definitely, DEFINITELY not true Native American sticks. The string colors weren't right, the sage sticks were both very thin, they're just just falling apart when you touch them, the pine was a dark green like it was just chopped of the tree the same day it was shipped, and the pine sage stick is FULL of very large sticks( like pea sized! ). If your spiritually into smudging your home and loved ones with this sage you need to buy elsewhere. Im telling you right now I don't feel safe using these in my home. I've bought there for years along with many others I know, but after seeing this we're all shopping elsewhere."
"Hello everyone. So I had an unpleasant experience with Crazy Crow Trading Co. today. I purchased a powder horn from them last friday . When I placed the order, I requested a larger powder horn. (Closer to a 14”) I said I already have a small one. By looking on their website they look rather good size. So I get it in the mail today. I opened it up and there is a small horn and the diameter is very small. I know they did not look or measure it. It was still in the original wrapper from India. If you take their image from online and blow it up to the same size that I got. The Diameter diameter should be around 2.75”, the one I got was 1.25. So I called and spoke to the customer service. I told her about my request of a larger horn she just said we must not have any. I asked her why I was not emailed back. She replied she did not know. I told her the horn was 9 inches long and very small. She said send pictures. I was about to send them and I got a call back. She said I think your measuring wrong and you need to measure around the curve. When I did it just hit the 10” mark. I told her the website is very deceptive on size. She said I could send it back on my dime and they would give me a refund. I told her I would just keep this as a lesson learned and not order again from them. She was not very concerned and she started laughing as she hung up the phone.. Beware of ordering any horns from them. They are the same you can get from Amazon for about ½ the price. Not being petty just willing to support a good value. this is not.."
"Listen, this is long but please take the time to read. I hope to save someone some pain and money in the future. This is a cautionary tale for those who would hope to fly with your long rifle. I purchased the Kentucky Rifle hard case from Crazy Crown Trading Post (online) to take my .54 caliber flintlock out to Washington State to hunt elk. Everything was secured in the case and all four locks were properly installed. The case was checked by TSA for flight and everything went exceptionally smoothly. Upon arrival in Seattle, I noticed the locks of the case were gone. Thinking TSA had done their thing and checked the contents again, and confirming there was no theft from the case (which contained a bench made knife, custom elk antler knife, backpacking gear and the rifle itself) I went on my way. Once I reached my destination, I noticed that it wasn’t the locks that had been cut, but the actual locking mechanism (D-loop) that locks the case were all broken off. See the attached photos, it’s hard to explain. I further noticed the rivets that hold the metal edging onto the case had popped out of the wood on one edge. So now I have a case that I cannot fly with because it cannot be locked, as well as a case I don’t trust will stay together on another flight. Remember, I’m in Washington and will have to get home to Pennsylvania in a week. I did my due diligence and contacted TSA. If you can believe it, TSA told me to pound sand, so I contacted Crazy Crow in an attempt to either receive a refund or replacement case. Understand, I now had a case that needed $84 worth of 5 1/2” bicycle locks to modify the case so I was legal to fly. I explained everything to CC calmly, just so you understand I didn’t lose my mind on the representative, did not swear, did not scream at any time. (Not that this was claimed at any point, but understand I am a rational human.) I explained to CC that, no matter what occurred, I have a case that is sub-par manufacturing and could not withstand a single 5 hour flight. The locks are broken and the edging is damaged and will come off at some future date. I was assured by CC that they had zero complaints about this case, and that they have sold hundreds. Even the owner of CC used this case for YEARS with no issues. I was assured he did not take private flights and checked his baggage just like every other man. Here I am, I stated, a customer who has the first complaint. A complaint that, I hope you agree, is founded in logic. I explained that my friend flew with a Pelican case that sustained zero damage, but here I have a severely damaged case. I asked for a refund. Absolutely not. I asked for a replacement case. Absolutely not. I was offered $60 for my time and inconvenience. I explained that a $60 offer was a slap in the face for a customer who trusted Crazy Crow to sell the same quality equipment I have purchased from them in the past (specifically a brazer, which is very nice and sturdy). This case cost me $359, plus $80 in locks to fix it, an $8 drill bit and a day out of the woods to fix the case so that I could fly home. I am disappointed in Crazy Crow. My line of thinking is, if I am the absolute first complaint, which is what I was told by their representative, then maybe the case was a lemon. Maybe, they’re lying and they know this case is trash. Let me tell you, it is trash. $359 for a case that looks and feels as though it was designed to hold 70” of poker chips, but certainly not a rifle. Certainly not a rifle that cost me $1000 in parts alone, plus the time to assemble the gun. My point is this: do not buy this case. It is trash. Do not expect good customer service from Crazy Crow. The representatives I spoke with were as professional as they could be, but were also as unhelpful as they could be. Maybe a little too condescending as well, but that’s not the point. As for me, I will no longer patronize Crazy Crow Trading Post in any manner, but I would not tell you to do that. I just want to save you the same pain that I have endured. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS CASE! Save yourself!"
