"Asian Star Restaurant, a name that implies only “one star.” Asian Star has three restaurants operating in Oklahoma: Wagoner, Pryor, and Tulsa. The one Wagoner has been a favorite of mine for several years. I was hoping the Tulsa restaurant would be as good. It was not. It was a disappointment. The restaurant is worn, the service is average, and the soy sauce bottles on the table had not been wiped clean or refilled since Mao Zedong was in power. Luckily, searching the other tables, I was able to find a fairly new sriracha bottle that didn’t have sriracha boogers growing on the nozzle. The food was acceptable, but overrated in some reviews. No reason to come back. "I stopped at Asian Star on a whim. I was dropping off stuff at the UPS store nearby. I wasn’t sure when reading some of the reviews but decided to give it a chance. So glad I did. I ordered the pork fried rice. The owner cooked it to order. Actuality fried it in a wok. A lot of places call it fried rice but it’s just steamed rice and coloring. It tasted great and the pork was tender and flavorful. I am Tulsa for work but I will definitely be back for more. Very very good."
