"Our waitress was awesome! Great food/great service. The biggest bacon wrapped shrimp I've seen and their papas-con-chile are the BOMB! Update 2/2024: still great! Had the enchiladas, papas con chile (YUM) hubs had the chicken fajitas said they were good."

"They are just doing too much with the food. They need to keep it simple but delicious, the beans were also very very dry as in they had weird stuff on them as if it has been sitting out. The server was very nice and I love the inside atmosphere but let's keep it real. Who fries tortillas?! Like I said, "doing too much." Thank you for reading my very honest review"

"In town visiting and saw signs. We had the chili relleno plate, tamale plate and kids burrito. I will say the Relleno plate was the top 3 I've ever had! The atmosphere is very nice with a beautiful atrium style center fountain. The server was not knowledgeable of the drinks we had asked if they offer horchata and she wasn't sure, we also asked for Shirley Temple for the kids and she wasn't familiar with that, finally my husband ordered a Michelada and she also didn't know what that was. I'm not sure if she was new but she did well the rest of the service. I will say the price per plate was much higher than we expected before heading there. But we all left satisfied."

"Clean and well-decorated restaurant with great service. I was totally impressed to sit down and get a nice bowl of chips along with 3 different dipping salsas. I ordered the fajita salad with shrimp. I turned down another bowl of chips as I had half a bowl left, but I accepted the salsa refill. Very tasty and different were these salsas. There was a lot to the fajita salad and I couldn’t eat all of it (too many chips, I guess). And the icing on the cake was the friendly, smiling service that was provided by Mosiah. If I’ve eaten at an Abuelo’s before, it’s been too long ago to remember. However, I can see another visit soon in the future. They look like they have some pretty nice happy hour specials and at least one low-calorie margarita."
