"Hands down the best Chinese food in Tulsa. Everything is cooked to order and the portion size is huge! My hubby and I will get 3 meals out of our order. We did get it to go and they wrapped everything so it would stay fresh and hot. Will definitely be our go to place."
"I finally had the opportunity to try Golden Gate. I chose to eat there, as I live a good 30-35 minutes away. I really enjoyed my meal: sweet and sour pork with garlic shrimp dinner combo. The egg roll was huge compared to what I'm used to getting elsewhere, the vegetables in the garlic shrimp were fresh, and - no joke - there had to have been 40 decent-sized shrimp! The breading on the pork was "just right" - not too thick, not too greasy. The rice was pretty basic, but that's how I like it if it's a side - I can add some rice in the saucy bites of shrimp or pork, and for me, it hits the spot! Needless to say, I brought home leftovers, which I enjoyed the next day! Brandon and I chatted a bit - such a nice man! I mentioned how I missed my little local Chinese restaurant back in California, and Brandon piped up with, "Oh, I used to live in California, too - West Covina!" I told him how much I enjoyed the meal, and tucked back in as he returned to the counter, taking numerous orders over the phone. I watched the amiable exchanges between several "regulars" who stopped by to order and pick up "to-go." I love that "Cheers" feeling at a little restaurant (where everybody knows your name....!). It's not a fancy place, but the food was really good and the atmosphere of people happy to be there, the warm reception from Brandon...well, they've got a new "regular" customer - me!"
"I so so so wanted to like this place. I saw a TikTok raving about their buffet and had to try it. The soup was the only good thing, everything else on the buffet plate was horrible. We could hear someone using a microwave warming things up which I guess is the buffet plates because our plates were hot, as was the food, however it was just not good. The fried stuff was mushy due to being microwaved, the rice was flat, the chicken in the veggie mix seemed to be canned chicken, and the pork bites were doughy balls of grease. I’d give it one more chance just from the interaction with the owner, but I would order off the menu and not do the buffet. Now- keep in mind we paid $12.99 each for the buffet, so granted it’s not Wolfgang puck but- I was still hoping for better quality with a bit more flavor. Definitely better choices in Tulsa."
"My Fiancé and I went here on purpose. I heard about the $9.99 lunch buffet and had to come try it! Let me say, this isn't the traditional buffet. They bring you portions of the best foods ever. The chicken and rice soup was excellent, it was so good I had to ask why it was on the buffet. The next course was a huge plate of chicken rice broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, noodles, a spring roll and more battered chicken. It was amazing. You should definitely go, the atmosphere was very chill and a wonderful vibe. If you go tell the owner the green mile sent you .. he called me the green mile lol"
"I want to say"good for the folks who have had this place and kept it going". That's the best I can offer. Anything else would probably be negative for the restaurant and the people who enjoy the food. I have attached pics and yes that is "fried rice", no I am not joking. I can not offer anything good for the food."
