About the Business
Play Hard / Learning Fitness is not just a child care center - it's a place where children are exposed to a wide range of sports, fitness, educational, and healthy living foundations. Located at 2525 South 101st East Avenue in Tulsa, Oklahoma, our institution focuses on building on children's strengths and abilities from a young age.
We emphasize exploring early gross and fine motor movements, providing rooms equipped with toys that encourage sitting, standing, jumping, walking, and exploration. As children grow, we continue to develop their motor skills and social development through center-based rooms with climbing and push/riding toys, as well as pretend play items. Daily art, music activities, and active play further enhance their learning experience.
Our year-round preschool program builds on educational foundations and introduces Kindergarten skills, such as sight words, writing, and math. Our classroom structure is designed to encourage active play and foster children's brain development.
During the school year, our aftercare program offers a rewarding experience for both children and families. After a long day at school, children receive a wholesome snack before completing homework or engaging in play. The day ends with active play outside or in the gym. Camp Days are filled with science, art, active play, and summer field trips.

"It’s unfortunate that people feel the need to lie and make up stories to appear as the victim in a situation. As a daycare, they have to follow rules and regulations from DHS, the federal food program and the rules from the school they are located within, for the safety of all children. As a personal friend to this daycare, I know that nobody was ever required to bring food to their children, but they did need to fill out paperwork for the food program to provide an alternate meal. That situation has been asked of many parents and only one has had an issue. That same parent was sent an invitation to enter the building to pick up their child but chose not to. This is not in the daycare’s control if the parent can’t be cordial or even kind. Play Hard is an amazing daycare with many more satisfied families than the few who have been unpleasant."
"My oldest started at Play Hard in June 2015. We had THE BEST experience then. Fast forward to 2020 when my youngest is born….She started after most of the craziness of Covid had passed. People were getting out and about again. The center got 1 case of Covid and shut down for two months! I always felt that was pretty extreme…but it was what it was. We worked through it and moved on. Life has been difficult ever since. They shortened their business hours. They have had a revolving door of teachers. My little needed to take a break from tomatoes per dr recommendation. They accommodated for a bit but then decided I had to have a dr note on file or they wouldn’t be able to accommodate any longer. Why all of a sudden? It wasn’t an allergy, it was a test to see if tomatoes were causing her issues. There were several days in this time that I was asked to bring her lunch because they couldn’t give her food without tomatoes. I was at work…not an ideal request mid-day. It’s 2023 and parents are still not allowed in the building due to Covid…unless it’s convenient for them. There’s no opportunity to build relationships with teachers. Parents are not able to see where their kids are at during the day. Communication about scheduled closures is sporadic. They use an app for the communication they do send. I asked for clarity on a non-holiday “holiday” closure and got a hateful response from someone I’ve never met or heard of and who I know is not my kid’s teacher. Most recently, after I’ve given notice to leave the center, my toddler has been sent home for the day without a pull-up (or panties….just bare butt in shorts). Due to the difficulties we’ve had with management, this felt intentional. The owner was told about both situations by my husband and nothing was done. So I’ve now pulled my daughter from the center because I feel like she’s not being properly taken care of. I do NOT recommend Play Hard to anyone looking."
"My kids have attended Play Hard for going on 6 years. We have had many teachers across many classrooms (Kristina, Dede, Megan, Gwendy, Felicia, Hannah to name a few). They have each provided great care for our kids, recognizing and appreciating their individual qualities. The teachers and the owner Brooklyn and director Megan are professional and respectful and work to overcome any issues. I have also found them to be more flexible than many daycares if you are respectful of their guidelines. Their programs/class work are also excellent but I genuinely think the people make the daycare and I am thankful I have been able to trust Play Hard with my kids."
"My boys (ages 7 and 3) have both attended daycare at Play Hard since they were just babies. Over these going on eight years, I just could not be more happy with Play Hard and how they take care of their kids, as well as their staff and families. There have been numerous teachers over the years that I greatly appreciate, but the constant support of Miss Brooklyn and Miss Megan has never wavered. I see both of these ladies give their all and then some to provide their kids and staff the best environment possible. They are both absolutely wonderful ladies, and ALWAYS put the safety of the kids and kid's families first. Leaving our children in the care of anyone else is never easy, but Play Hard provides my kids and myself with great peace of mind and an all around great daycare experience. These ladies CARE."
"My sons (4 years old and 20 months old) have been at Play Hard almost their entire daycare experience. My older son went to KinderCare for about 4 months before we moved to Play Hard, and my younger son has been there since I went back to work after maternity leave (10 weeks old). Our experience at Play Hard has been really great. My boys adore all of their teachers and the directors, and really love going to “school”. Play Hard always communicates issues with me right away and posts updates on how both boys are doing frequently throughout each day. I appreciate the app (BrightWheel) they use as I can see whether they have eaten, how often they go potty/have a diaper change, and I receive pictures of different activities they are doing in class. They also provide healthy meals for all of the classrooms which is really helpful to me as a working mom. I feel like sending my kids to Play Hard has helped them develop solid social skills and has helped support my 4 year old developing really strong speech skills. I am a teacher and I appreciate the foundation that Play Hard has helped lay for my kids to be happy and successful as they grow. I see a lot of positives in my kids and their experience at this daycare. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a daycare where the teachers and staff really love your kids!"
