"Something I am now preaching to other moms in similar positions is that you have to be comfortable with who is taking care of you. You do not want to be turning to Facebook or google questioning every decision your provider makes but it’s hard not to when you don’t have someone who explains things until you understand them. And there are a lot of great, qualified doctors out there but if you don’t trust them or they can’t explain in a way you understand, you’re always going to be insecure with your care even if it’s totally in line with standard care guidelines. I have really appreciated my experience so far with doctor kenney and his office. I think it’s rare to have an office that is so available and a doctor that really takes time to explain and explains until you get it and asks if you have more questions. Being confident in my provider has made a night and day difference on the mental impact of this journey. Doctor kenney is also very up to date on new guidelines. I had a list of questions my first appointment and he beat me to pretty much all of them. I know other women in my situation haven’t been as fortunate to have someone who listens, educates and also is up to date on new guidelines and have been frustrated and fearful and I’m thankful that this has not been an issue for me because high risk pregnancies are hard enough. I feel that even though I’m not an expert in the field like doctor kenney is, I’m talked to with respect and my concerns are taken seriously."
