"Was standing at the bus stop on fletcher, woke up at 5 am in the morning for the 5:59 bus, stood there just for the bus dude to ride right by me, this is my only transportation 7 miles away from my school, the bus drivers need to be more minded on people standing at busses, will be complaining tomorrow if they do it again EDIT: 2 days later and they continue to go past me on the same route, will be complaining till the bus driver has the audacity to stop for a passenger to get on"
"There have been a few times the bus never shows up to pick up kids that ride it for school to get home. Called Star Tran and the super nice lady lol. Said the dispatcher is supposed to be calling the school and letting people know so the kids aren't standing there waiting for a bus that never arrives. They don't call any schools or anyone. This happened last week in the very cold temps and again this week. At least it wasn't bad outside Tuesday."
"A couple of my many terrible experiences with this service. - Bus driver blew past me several mornings in a row, despite me standing under a street light in full view. The day he finally picked me up, he complained that I should do more to make myself visible. Guess standing at the stop under a light in clear view and waving isn't enough. - I showed up to my stop 5 minutes before the bus was supposed to leave the previous checkpoint. Watched as it rounded the corner past my stop, running about 10 minutes early. Obviously couldn't get on. - Missed a doctor's appointment because an afternoon bus was running 25 minutes late. - Stood at an unsheltered stop in below freezing weather for over an hour because two schedueled buses failed to materialize. No explanation given. - Bus showed up 40 minutes late, then the driver told everyone to get off the bus at a random stop and that another one would show up "soon." Didn't appear after 20 minutes. Ended up walking home that day. Got home very late. Those are just some of the unique experiences. Drivers regularly blow past stops or fail to turn into places. I've had drivers treat me very poorly, even getting indignant for waving when they look like they're going to speed by my stop. Drivers also regularly slam on the accelerator immediately after pickup. I've nearly been knocked to the floor several times. The app is also useless. Many of the buses don't have tracking hardware, so you don't know if your bus isn't showing on the app or simply isn't showing up. Makes for a "fun" guessing game on below-zero winter mornings. If the service were free, I wouldn't complain. But having to pay for unreliable and downright rude service is unbelievable. Worst of all, for a solid few months, my route had a really good driver who was friendly and perfectly on time every day. You could set a watch by him. Guess they got rid of him because he was making the other drivers look bad. If you can, avoid it, and write whoever you can in city government to fix this worthless excuse for public transit."
"Was on the bus riding home from school. The bus driver stopped at an empty shelter and told me and other passengers that we needed to get off and wait for the next one because he was getting off of work. When I looked shocked he said "it should only be about two minutes." We couldn't have waited the "two minutes" on the warm bus? We had to wait in the cold? Many of the drivers are great, but the rest are rude. One of the bus drivers yelled for a good ten minutes about people pulling the bell a couple of blocks too early. That same driver slowed down and opened his doors to yell at someone running down the sidewalk. Weird behavior."
"I left property on the bus on accident on Friday and the driver told me he had it and placed it in lost & found on Saturday. By Monday, they couldn't find it and by Wednesday I was told to stop calling! Drivers and mechanics should NOT be shopping the lost & found until AFTER their 15 day policy is complete!"
