"I can not recommend a better dining experience than at Shoemakers restaurant! If I could give them 10 stars I would, but I can't. The wait staff is above and beyond. They are the most hospitable people I have dealt with in a long time. True Nebraska hospitality. Very exceptional food at prices that are on par with fast food, but WAY better quality. The atmosphere is truly a wonderful touch. I highly recommend this as your stop if travelling in Lincoln and are on Hwy 6 or I 80. They are even worth a longer drive."

"All around great spot. The restaurant has great food. Ruben's, chicken tenders, pork tenderloin sandwich. Also the French toast is delicious. Chicken fried chicken smothered in gravy with eggs and hashbrowns is very good. They have a small salad bar, homemade pies. Ice cream by the scoop, including huckleberry:) if that doesn't strike your fancy, they also have a Subway. The showers are clean with hot water and they provide towels and a bar of soap. Lots of truck stuff, what not and such. Plus everything a regular gas station carries. It's a one stop shop. Friendly staff."
