"While the office space is quite pleasant, my experience with this therapist was far from satisfactory. Despite having already purchased her services through the VA community care program, a significant portion of our session was spent promoting her services, which felt unnecessary. During our sessions, the therapist focused on her experiences treating Hollywood celebrities, which didn't seem relevant to our needs. Our main request was appointment reminders, but unfortunately, they were not sent out as agreed upon. Instead of acknowledging this oversight, we were told we were financially responsible. Moreover, upon learning that I am a combat veteran, the therapist admitted her lack of knowledge about the VA and expressed her anti-war stance, as if being a combat veteran from a poor background is somehow pro-war. Utterly appalling. To my surprise, she inquired about my combat experiences insensitively. Despite my initial willingness to continue the treatment, as I am used to navigating the VA's challenging system, the lack of appointment reminders and the unprofessionalism displayed were the final straw. For those considering this therapist, particularly government-funded patients, I recommend looking elsewhere for someone who treats their clients with the respect and attention they deserve, regardless of their background. We're sorry that we are not your typical hollywood patients, perhaps she should return to hollywood where you feel more comfortable. This woman essentially abused and used a disabled combat veteran and his spouses relationship turmoil for personal validation and admiration. I am sickened I allowed this woman ti waste our time, and to insult my wife’s indigenous culture in Mexico and compared it to her life of glamor in Acapulco as an American citizen and myself and my combat experience. Update: since yesterday, when i sent this to let her know she shouldn't ask veterans about "did they kill anyone" in combat o rnot this is her response from email: As a veteran in treatment it is necessary to know what experience people have had, that has generated their trauma whether in theatre or if their injuries were stateside and "other in ways " created, to determine treatment with couples as well as individuals. I want to make a note, asked me two questions 1. why i haven't learn spanish yet, imagine this in reverse to get a sense of how offensive it is 2. did you kill anyone in combat. I am astonished. Update 3: the Va called to apologize. The VA itself will not work with her and has so many complaints even employees are aware due to the bizarre behavior she displays. Be warned tho, triwest is still booking veterans for this woman’s practice. I’ve filed a grievance w triwest so she can’t harm any more veterans. Further updates, triwest won't schedule us for another coupoles therapist because of this woman. Don't go to this woman for any reason, she wont' help you, and will cause you so many problems with the government entity that funds your care. What an evil and terrible person."
"Her space is gorgeous. Her therapy is almost offensive at times. I spoke four times in the session and she talked about her life… endlessly. Would not return, cannot recommend."
"If you are looking for qualified, evidence based, quality therapy, this place is not for you. She is dangerous, and should not be treating our most vulnerable populations."
"Great therapist with a non biased opinion who focuses on core issues. Highly recommend Dr Lopez."
"I’ve been seeing Dr. Lopez since 9/11/2012, and my life has significantly improved with her guidance. I recommend her to everyone I love."
