"My review is now 1 star since I have deducted a star for every poor interaction with this company, and I unfortunately still have ongoing business with them, and can't give negative stars. I'm attempting to cancel a home insurance policy for my Mother whom has passed away. When attempting to cancel the policy, I am told I need to provide paperwork that is no longer provided by the title company (HUD Settlement), when asked what I can provide in it's place, I'm simply told I have to prove the house was sold without any other description in an attitude as if I'm supposed to know what they require. The attitude is really what gets me - I'm cancelling my deceased Mother's policy, how about showing a little empathy? (And no, I'm not providing any documentation that shows financial information, like the Seller's Statement) The interactions with their answering service is very unprofessional ( I was hung up on, having to call back saying "I think we were disconnected" without any indication that they cared), calls don't get returned, emails don't get followed up on, and the interactions with the agents who now manages the policy is also unprofessional (lack of interpersonal skills and customer service). I am unsure why I have to continually followup with them when they should be contacting me to keep me posted on closing the account. It's not that big of a deal. Every call I put in to them is a disappointment. Please, SG&T, have a little professionalism in what you do and try to provide a bit of customer service. It will go a long way. All I'm doing is trying to cancel a policy, I'm so very sorry for the individuals who have to actually make a claim or deal with them in any other capacity. (disclaimer: The policy was originally managed by Dan at Elite Financial who is no longer with them, this review is not about him at all. His office was prompt and professional in previous interactions.)"
