Reviews
"Been a patient at SW eye care for many many years and yesterday I met Dr. Adams and was extremely impressed by him. Warm, professional and very well informed. He took his time, listened to me, reviewed the tests his assistant gave me. When we finished our meeting I left the office with a feeling of well being and the comfort of knowing I was in good hands."
"Absolutely the best. Awesome care, well explained, and expertly completed two procedures. Absolutely no pain or issues at all. The people are the best at Southwest and the surgery center. Caring, attentive, and answers to any question I had. Hopefull no immediate needs but Dr N will be be my first choice without a doubt. Thank you all!"
"Dr. Maria Valenzuela Arellano at SW Eyecare has impressive surgical skills and experience. She is one of the most thorough doctors I have had in a lifetime of eyelid and eye muscle issues. I appreciated how well she took time to ask questions and listen to me. She explained the issues using physical props and images to help me understand and ordered thorough imaging to determine cause and appropriate treatment recommendations. She spent extra time and effort to help me get additional information from another doctor who had a long waiting list. She has been an exceptional advocate for me to resolve my very difficult eye problems. I am so grateful to be her patient."
"Here’s a new one, several months ago I try to get my medical file and was told they would not give it to me. My insurance wouldn’t allow them so I called my insurance. My insurance made a complaint, I still don’t have my medical file. First doctor in my 60 years on this planet that I have not received “MY” medical records when requested. The Asian Doctor, I do not know his name since he wasn’t my doctor. My doctor was out having knee surgery. During my surgery I could hear this doctor talking about partying and such not professional at all. My surgery was not successful, no surprise, worst now with time. I went for a regular appointment with my doctor and the technician informed me she “refused” to work with the doctor that performed my surgery and he had left the practice. When I saw my doc, told him my story he did not say a word. Just want it to send me to his colleague to have an operation to “fix” my eye, didn’t go well in his office I’m surely not going go to one of his colleagues. His colleague’s office secretary called me three times and never responded. Update: I called and left message, I would be thrilled to have a positive update. Called and received my chart. Have an appointment with a new provider and will see what will they propose with the not successful surgery I had."
"About 10 months ago, I went to Southwest Eyecare because I needed cataract surgery. I felt that the office was well run, and very busy. I really liked the Dr. I dealt with. I had several appointments before my surgery. I was given the things and meds I would need and charged for them. I was told I would need laser treatment to make my sight much better, and charged $1400. well before the surgery. I followed all the instructions for prep for the surgery, and was called around 5pm the night before to tell me my insurance didn't cover their operating facility. Pres told me that I could use Southwest, so they are at fault too. They told me they would arrange for a different facility when they had enough patients. I called them a month later and asked for my money back until I was scheduled, which they sent. They said it should be just a short time. It is 6 months later and I have not heard a thing from them. Needless to say, I have made other arrangements. But have had very blurry vision to deal with."
