"Patient care can be good depending on the provider. My primary is Melanie Boone and she has been great and speedy when it comes to getting things done and prescriptions out. Now that she’s on leave my prescriptions are currently behind almost 2 weeks and no resolution yet after a couple of phone calls to get them renewed. When they did get renewed, they were the incorrect one not even in the same classification of prescription that was required, I needed pills and what were prescribed were asthma, inhalers. Nobody seems to follow up or take accountability for anything. I can’t wait for my primary to return because my experience with her colleagues have not yielded a resolution to my current condition after several visits and follow-ups, along with simply filling a prescription."
"Still waiting on my refills from Dr Gallegos, that she said she would refill at my appointmentwith her. Asked multiple times for my asthma refills and high blood pressure refills, a nurse called said she would speak to Dr to refill it and call me back, still waiting for call. It is 2:41am I'm having an allergy asthma attack need my meds. Isn't their a code of ethics sworn by a Dr to treat all patients the same? I don't believe this is happening in my case."
"I am a new patient at this location, because my primary Doctor no longer is with them. But I have say my visit with Doctor Merna Gallegos is an awesome Doctor she is funny and down to earth and very kind. I want her to be my new primary. And she made me feel 100 percent better. I will definitely travel to the west side of town when I need to see A Doctor. Thanks Doctor Gallegos"
"I had an appointment with Myrna Gallegos because she would only refill my cholesterol meds if I made appointment to see her. So I go to see her (took over a month to get appointment) and she flips on me because I had blood work done by another NP. She told me she would not refill my meds. This wasn’t the first time I’ve had my blood work done by another NP. Last year she had refilled my meds based on my lab work then. I told her are you quitting on me and she proceeded to ignore me and examined me. I told her I had been exposed to strep and she insisted I couldn’t get strep because I have no tonsils. (Even though I have gotten strep before with no tonsils). I didn’t know there was a policy saying you couldn’t have your lab work done elsewhere or by another NP. I called twice to make a complaint and left messages and was told someone would call me back within 48 hours. Today makes two weeks and I’ve yet to get a call back. I’ve been going to see Myrna for years. She’s been my provider all these years and to get treated this way is horrible. She’s the one who convinced me to go on a statin years ago. Anyway the truth is her attitude towards providing health care has been bad. She seems dissatisfied with her job and should retire. The pandemic has had an affect on not just the patient but on the care and treatment we receive from the providers. And to think I recommended her to other patients. My true regret that I ever recommended her. I hear though Dr. heredia is good. So I’m without a primary."
"The care is decent generally, but this office is too small for the number of patients it's trying to serve. Appointments are months out lately. Lab area is terribly understaffed/undersized (in fact I refuse to use this locations lab it is so bad). Phone wait time is excessive too."
