"I went to emergency room with a severe sore throat and was diagnosed with strep. I was given a prescription for antibiotics and released. I did respond to the antibiotics and recovered. I was shocked to receive a bill for $1056 for services from Dr Stevens through APP of New Mexico ED PLLC. Normally my insurance covers emergency services. The hospital told me that the physician billed privately and that I didn’t owe them a bill. The hospital hired this organization. If the community here has to pay billing amounts like this I believe it is downright wrong. Bills like I got are a real burden financially and discourage seeking treatment!!"

"I had a severe upper respiratory infection and went in to the ER because I had a really hard time breathing and had severe coughing spells. I Was given a COVID test and an x-ray and when I was negative for COVID I was given a shot of toradol and released without any kind of antibiotics or steroids. That night I had a severe coughing spell and broke 3 ribs. They did nothing for me whatsoever. Go somewhere else if you need to go to the hospital if possible."

"I was in the hospital for 3 days with an acute kidney infection. Went into ER. The care throughout the hospital was outstanding! Thank you to the staff. Mo, Lisa and Tanya were some of my nurses. Great care. Thanks also to Dr. Gonzalez! Also a shout out to the lunch lady and to Sonny for lifting my spirits! Leah was very helpful also.I will not hesitate going back. Thanks everyone!"

"Took my son to the emergency room yesterday; after an hour and a half of waiting in a room for anyone to even come check on him, the nurse told me that the Dr. refused to see us because my son wasn't in critical condition. My pediatrician told me to take him to the emergency room, I wouldn't have brought my son if there wasn't something wrong. This hospital lacks on cleanliness and ironically enough, hospitality. I have pictures of dried blood splattered on the floor of the room they put us in. I would rather go to silver or cruces to see a real doctor."

"Nicolette Klump in Registration Department is an asset to your hospital. She is perfect in her position of delivering exemplary customer service. I am new to Deming from Cali and kind of lonely here and she picked up on it and referred me to a few local outings. She was kind and empathetic and joyful. When I saw so many people in Nicolette’s waiting area I got nervous thinking this will take hours. She is efficient and effective, my wait was 10 minutes with numerous people ahead of me. Thank you for a great day Nicolette! You are amazing!!!!"
