"I heard good things about this place so decided to give it a try a few weeks ago. What a mistake. The restaurant was short staffed, no biggie on the wait when you’re in good company. The food however was a huge disappointment. I got a salad that was drowning in blue cheese dressing. I had ordered the mushroom ravioli, but they were out so I got the cheese ravioli. It was so bad. Maybe the cook was overwhelmed that night, I just don’t know. The ravioli was cold and bland, like really bland. I didn’t even finish my food and left really disappointed. Unsure if I’ll go back to give this place another chance, but at this point as much as I LOATHE Olive Garden I’d rather go there first. All those giving this place many stars what am I missing?!"
"I had a great experience at Caruso’s. I came on a Thursday night and it wasn’t busy. We were promptly seated and offered drinks. We ordered the italian fries, which were super yummy. For entrees, we ordered the lasagna and the spaghetti. Both fulls. They came with the option of soup or salad and both were very good. The entrees came out piping hot and although a little bland, that was easily fixed with a little bit of salt and pepper. It was plenty of food and we went home with leftovers. The service was especially amazing. We had refills on our drinks when they were about 1/4 full. We were given parmesan cheese when the waiter noticed that we didn’t have it at our table. We didn’t even have to ask. If you’re looking for well priced, good italian food and great service, this is the place!"
"Wanted to try this place since I’ve heard good things about. But once inside my son and I where greated with this So-Called managers “ sit where you like but it’s gonna be a bit until I get to you” mind you the establishment was not very busy. And he looked very disgusted and was mumbling some gibberish on his way to the back. So we left, maybe he was having a bad day but you don’t great customers as such. Should have said hey guys I’m backed up a little in the kitchen I’ll take your drink order and bring you some bread. He need to do better being that he’s a local family owned business and well it’s the community that helps keep you open. Needless to say I’ll never go back and I’ll make sure to tell others of this experience."
"Probably the best Italian place in Albuquerque! The food and ingredients are fresh and full of flavor! Your be hard pressed to find better. The environment is welcoming, warm and friendly. The staff is great. Definitely a gem of the Sandia Foothills."
