Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rapid City

"I will never stay here again. No hidden fees is a lie. I’ve not paid more than $60 to stay here and I get charged almost a $100 and then the rude lady at the desk upon check in acts like she needed to charge me $5 for incidentals like I’m plan to trash the room. Judging me isn’t your job!! Checking me into the hotel is. I am a Wyndham member and this is how I get treated staying here. Never again. Breakfast is horrible!! Workers are not friendly at all!!!!!!!!! I’m contacting the better business bureau on this establishment. Loud guests in the hallway at midnight and nothing was done about it."

"OK, to review this place is kind of hard to do. You can't compare this place to a 5-star place because it is not, and they don't try to be. They are an average place that does a great job at being what they were meant to be. It's inexpensive and clean. What more can you ask for. I do recommend spending the extra few bucks on the suite. It's well worth the money. The breakfast area is well kept, and I have always seen an employee taking care of things immediately during the time it was open. They were under an extensive remodel while I was there, so the pool and top floor were closed, but what they called old and dated exceeded my expectations. I plan to go back just to see the improvements."

"I flew in to Rapid City and booked a one night stay before a long drive in the AM. The police in the lobby attending to an unruly guest was my hint that I was in for a wild night.Staff was excellent, no complaints!! It was loud though, mostly because I was on the main floor by the back door and folks kept going in and out to smoke until all hours. Pet friendly hotel meant someone’s dog was unhappy about their accommodations and was letting everyone one know! I am also pretty certain that the squeaking and rustling in the room HVAC was a small rodent. I understand that these things happen, especially as the weather gets colder, but I was not super thrilled about sharing the room with the little boisterous fella all night and AM. My smoke alarm went off because the steam from the shower was unable to be ventilated properly. It’s fine, I survived. It’s an easy enough location about 15 minutes from the airport, but to be fair there are tons of other hotels in the area to check out if you are super picky. This one was kind of tucked away in the way back of a long driveway of hotels."

"Checked in, went to the room and immediately checked out forfeiting the night's rate. Very, very run down hotel in a busy area where similar rates can be had a block away for modern clean rooms without mystery stains. Yes and the response will be that they're getting a full remodel this fall, saw no signs of such, but made no difference to my visit still as it's still a scary place."

"It wasn't fancy, but it was clean and didn't have the overwhelming stink of coverup spray. Room is due for a remodel, and definitely a new TV, desk staff tried too but it was dead. Space for our truck and RV, quiet area and tried Boss's for dinner delivery, chicken was excellent!"
