"NEXT LEVEL EXPERIENCE! Amazing! One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Top-notch service. Awesome location and atmosphere. Wow! Highly recommend for a fancy dinner. This is in the top floor of the midnight star right on Main Street, so it’s a bit “hidden” but relatively easy to get to. The food was amazing. I had short ribs (it was a special so not always available) and they were decadent. They were fall-off-the-bone tender and rich with flavor. The cheesecake was some of the best I’ve ever had too. It wasn’t overly dense as cheesecake can be, but was instead fluffy and delicate yet still rich and creamy. The plating and presentation of our whole meal was some of the best I’ve experienced. Immaculate care was taken to ensure a meal that was first a presentation. Finally, service was awesome. Our waiter was attentive, helpful, and warm. Highly recommend!!!"

"Great atmosphere, near top notch dining staff, certainly the most professional in deadwood. The bread appetizer is absolutely divine. The bar tender nailed drinks that no one else gets right, like a sidecar. Servers and expediters were great, only missing things like topping off waters with regularity, or brushing off the table between courses. The food was good in every course except … unfortunately my main dish, the ribeye. The salad and balsamic dressing was a standout. Back to the steak - It was not very tasty, and smothered in a sauce that had a bit too much clove in it. The stake had no char flavor and was a poor cut - full of stingy bits and was more on the rubbery side than the tender side. I’d go back, but it wouldn’t be for the stake. Robb and Chloe were fantastic, request them!"

"An amazing experience! The staff were exceptional, and the food was both delicious and wonderfully unique. Our waiter was the most pleasant person I've ever encountered in any setting. His service and demeanor could set a new standard in hospitality. The food was bursting with flavor yet surprisingly light. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and the fish had all the richness of Southern cooking with an elegant twist. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance and will unquestionably return for more!"

"Last night in South Dakota and had such a great experience at Jakes. First off the food was amazing. Absolutely delicious. Can’t say enough about the flavor combinations in each course. Highly recommend the gluten free pasta too if you have a gluten allergy. The ambience was wonderful. It’s a small and intimate place on the 4th floor of a casino with a fireplace and gorgeous pillars. It’s not loud even when the place is full. The view by the window overlooking deadwood’s Main Street was awesome. Finally the service was top notch. Jesse, our server was funny, attentive and truly wonderful. He took my allergy seriously and we loved having him to take care of us for our meal. Everyone else was also super friendly and helpful. The prices were also fair and reasonable! Love, love,love!!!"
