"Fantastic food and service! We were in the mood for scallops, so we started off with the sautéed scallop appetizer. Cooked to perfection! All of the main dishes sounded excellent, but we must have been in a pasta mood because we chose the beef stroganoff and the mushroom ragu. They were both excellent, and as a personal preference, we both thought the ragu was the better of the two. If you're a bourbon connoisseur, they currently have a hand selected barrel of Jack Daniel's that can be purchased by the glass or by the bottle!"
"We were trying to find some dessert when all the power went out in Deadwood (and surrounding area). On a whim we stopped into Snitches and the staff were wonderful. Atmosphere was fabulous, the homemade desserts were amazing and the coffee was fantastic. We will definitely be back when the whole kitchen is up and running. Thank you for a great visit!"
"We went to dinner on NYE. We ending up eating an hour earlier (they asked/we went early) so we ate around 7:30. I ordered scallops, they were out. Husband ordered surf & turf, they were out of lobster. These are items that are on their normal menu and weren't a special. Very poor planning. The place wasn't even full. I ended up ordering a chili espresso grilled pork chop and it didn't seem to be seasoned at all. Very plain for 2 bold flavors in the name. My husband's steak was good, except it didn't come out with the blue cheese butter he requested. Disappointing for the price we paid for the food. Our server Kris was great though!"
"So, this is upscale? There are a lot of plusses and a lot of minuses. The Service: was impeccable; our server, Toby Hurd, was EXCEPTIONAL! He knows how to take care of his customers. His knowledge is above and beyond; he knows the beef, the cuts, and the grades. He knows the menu and can explain the fine nuances of the dishes on the menu. He expertly paired our wine to the plates we ordered. This is service at the highest level of competence! The food: This is where things start to go a bit off the rails. The charcuterie board appetizer was sans a fruit component. This oddly paired slaw was served that had miniscule pieces of strawberries; it was a complete fail as a board component. The Nan or pita bread was inedible, very hard to chew; if the intent was that it was toasted, it was way over toasted. The elk sausage was excellent. The cheeses were well selected, the crackers not so much. The Borsin was out of place. There was no jam or fruit spread. A bacon or roasted tomato bacon jam would have completed this offering. Overall a miss on this. Salads were good, portions were acceptable. Our server was not able to add cracked pepper. The restaurant does not have a single peppermill. Seriously? The Entrees; were ready before the salads were eaten, too rushed, and very poor timing by the kitchen staff. Yes, I asked. The beef dishes were a huge hit and were well enjoyed. The Shrimp Scampi had a strange taste profile, with a red bell pepper undernote; it was positively shy of the garlic and lemon profile expected. Three orders were considered in these comments, not one person liked this dish. The Chicken Picata was also oddly composed, EXTREMRLY oily, and scant on the chicken, lemon, and capers. The lemon rinds were served with the dish cooked, as part of the sauce; not a positive inclusion. Neither of these dishes are worthy of placement on the menu. They need review and significant improvement. Atmosphere: The space is not dining positive. The curtains that separate the space from the casino need to be replaced with a wall, period. The casino noise is a huge detractor. That's the good and the bad. Was it worth $300? For the service, yes! For the food, no way, not even close. I hope that they can improve the food quality, and become representative of their menu. Chef take note, taste your dishes. Management, take note, sample all that you offer, service, food, and atmosphere. You can and should improve."
"We always enjoy eating here with friends! It's a great atmosphere and the food is always amazing! I've never had a bad meal while dining here. I'd recommend making a reservation so you know you'll have seating. If you like old fashions, I also recommend theirs with four roses bourbon! Highly recommend this place!"
