"I made an appointment because they were a “VOLVO” dealer. I had an air leak and an ECU light on. They quickly said not an issue and to bring it in. That was the good part. I left it for a few days and they said they were diagnosing the problem. A couple days later they told me I needed a new wiring harness and an extension and it could be up to 6 months or longer. I paid my bill which was 10hrs of labor to which they did not do much other than break a few pieces of trim on my dash taking it apart. Now mind you they did not even explain that the harness would solve the air leak or the ecu light. I asked for the part numbers to do some research myself to see if anything was around. The part numbers did not exist, I called a d they gave me another part number, once again with no promise of this solving any problems I had. They billed me for 4 bolts and shop supplies (150$) not sure what supplies because they did not do any work. The total bill was just over $1500. I took it to an independent repair shop and the actual issue was I needed 2 EGR valves (which there seems to be an issue with from Volvo) truck has 150k on it. It also needed an air regulator valve on my transmission. The bill was much higher $8200 which I was happy to pay because it fixed both problems. Being stuck or getting towed is far from cheap. So either they did nothing at all to my truck or they were not competent to fix it. I contacted them and even emailed the PAID repair order so they could see exactly what was done, in hopes of getting some of my money refunded because they did ZERO to solve or explain how this imaginary wiring harness that they can’t get was going to solve either problem I had.. The only good thing about this place, is thst they got me right in…. And it went straight down from there. I put the truck pic so they would know who wrote this review. I own my own business and have for 22 years, customer service is number one to my wife and I. Doug"
"We would have to agree with another poster that this Volvo service shop has exceeded our expectations! It was not a cheap bill but I think we were “aware” that Volvo’s are “high maintenance.” We can’t say enough about the Service Manager Jim and Volvo Tech Cedric! They worked long hours and stayed later than service hours to complete the job in order for us to travel home (13 hours). Kuddos to Jim and his customer service abilities. I would hate to be in his shoes but he always had a smile and laughter to light up a room! If you need Volvo work done, I highly recommend Cedric! He is skilled beyond his years, detailed oriented and takes his time to explain the issue."
"We travel all over the US and have been to several Volvo shops. They have all helped us get back on the road in some capacity. This is the first shop where I feel like we received exemplary service. Our bill was not cheap (never is with a Volvo) but the mechanics (Cedric & Martin) gave us a clear and concise explanation of what they intended to do. When the job was completed, the documentation and explanation of work performed was also clear and more detailed than I have ever seen anywhere! I would have given them 5 stars except the service advisor/manager is the only one handling that position so as you might imagine he is beyond overworked. Because of this, communication was not the best and we needed to micromanage some of our more complex issues with regard to timing. The necessary work done was of the highest quality, I don't feel like we were overcharged and there was no $350 diagnostic fee before they would even look at it! Highly recommend these guys!"
