"Absolutely the least careing urgent not a single time was I asked about my Odin level how I was feeling how I was doing I was just argued about how I was feeling and told to deal with it and they can't help and go home and take care of it your self. If i thought I didn't need help I would have been here. I liver in tears because nothing was done for my pain yet again."
"I had my first vaccination on 03/27. I have been on the "rarely going out, always masked and physically distancing" end of the scale and worried how this set-up would work with so many people getting vaccinated. My worries were silly because Kaiser did a phenomenal job with the flow of people and getting us in & out quickly (after the 15 minutes of post-shot safety waiting). I was quickly guided to my station then Liz made pleasant conversation as she quickly accessed my account, prepped and vaccinated me. I had a 9am appointment and at 9:02, I was already waiting for my 15 minutes to pass. Very efficient and not stressful at all. Great job by everyone involved and I appreciated the Saturday appointment!"
"Eating disorder team is completely inadequate. They don't even have therapists that have eating disorder training but are listed as eating disorder therapists. Therapists not trained in ED should not be practicing outside of their scope. Also, getting outpatient therapy is nearly impossible with Carrie Howard. I had to see EVERY SINGLE eating disorder therapist in order to be referred out. They told me i was out of referrals until I demanded I receive proper mental health support. I have lost so much weight and have had zero support, I have had to wait over a month to see a therapist and cant even see a nutritionist because I haven't seen a therapist to be recommended... How is the accessible?? There are SO many barriers to attending eating disorder therapy through Kaiser it's ridiculous. As a therapist in training, this is so frustrating to be experiencing so many barriers myself."
"I'll add my voice to the chorus complaining about Kaiser's behavioral health services. In our experience, Kaiser's behavioral health "care" was wholly inadequate. My family has been with Kaiser for more than 20 years, but this may be our last year. I was pleased with the care we received until we had a need for behavioral health care. The problem is that there are simply not enough therapists. As a rule Kaiser will only allow you to schedule one appointment at a time, which means you get an appointment with a therapist every 4-5 weeks. That means your looking at months to even establish a relationship with a therapist, much less get any effective treatment. When I complained, a manager gave us special dispensation to schedule more than 1 appointment at a time and for a while we were able to get appointments every two weeks. That was still not enough frequency for adequate treatment, but even worse, Kaiser began to backslide. First our therapist suggested it "wasn't fair" for us to come every two weeks when others only got in every month. Then a Kaiser rep called and told me that I had to cancel existing appointments, again because our seeing a therapist every two weeks was not fair to other patients. That was the last straw. I had been concerned that every two weeks was not frequent enough so when Kaiser wouldn't provide even that meager amount of treatment, we gave up. We now pay to see an out of network therapist. We are limited in when we can change health care providers, but have begun the process of looking for a provider who will provide actual behavioral health care."
"If I could rate Kaiser mental health services zero stars I would. The therapist my child saw thought it was completely appropriate to only be seen every two to four weeks, even though my child was having such crippling anxiety they could not attend school. After several months absolutly no progress was made and my child could still not attend school. The therapist would refuse to allow me to email pertinent information outside of appointments that needed to be said without my child or my child's father present that could have aided in treatment. I was told I would have had to book an appointment to see the therapist so I'd have to pay to see him to pass the info on to him, which is absurd. At the last appointment my child went to the therapist actually they didn't know how to help my child. No kidding!!Thankfully my child is no longer in the Kaiser system and I can now look for a proper therapist."
