"Dr. Dickerson and Neill basically saved my life. I had been dealing with a severe food intolerance for decades, long before much info on the internet was posted about it as there is now (I would know, I have been looking all this time). I knew there was something wrong with me, but every doctor/specialist I sought help from said I was “normal” based on very basic tests and could not or would not help me. My food intolerance issue is much less severe now and I am able to eat more foods which is the progress I really needed from where I started. There’s still some improvements to be made for me, and I’m looking forward to visiting the office and I’m feeling better every time I visit Dr. Dickerson. One of my goals from this office was to gain weight and be more physically fit, which is very hard to do when foods are causing illness. - I’ve finally been able to gain weight (after many years of trying and failing due to getting sick) - I feel much more energetic, able to build strength and endurance - Much happier because I’m healthier and not constantly feeling ill as I did before, less headaches as well, less stress and anxiety If you’re determined to take control of your health and do the work required on your part, I would highly recommend this office for help on your journey. As far as I know, there’s not a prescription pill to fix my problem, and even if there was, I would not want the side effects that would come with it. More details: I’m a pretty smart person and highly technical, I was determined to treat or diagnose myself since no one else was going to help me, or believed how sick I could get. I was able to learn my own food intolerances the hard way, and eventually had to avoid most foods that most people eat daily. I also had to avoid most restaurants and cook for myself at home. I did okay for a long while, but that did not address the issue and made my life/schedule very inconvenient and food deprived. Eventually everything I ate seemed to make me very sick and I was becoming hopeless and underweight, and the problem became unmanageable on my own. In a final attempt to seek help and research online, I ran across the Functional Medicine Institute and found Dr. Dickerson’s office. There are many similarly listed doctors around here but she was the only one that worked with health insurance, which was a great sign for me. I might be a bit of a different case since I had already done a lot of work on my own and was determined to overcome this on my own before I saw her (try as I might, it would not have worked on my own anyway), but with her guidance and Neill’s support, I am now able to eat at restaurants every other day (maybe every day if I could afford it) without issues or worries, which is something I could not have imagined doing in my dark time before seeing Dr. Dickerson."
"I had a great experience working with Dr. Dickerson and the health coach, Neill. I had psoriasis covering almost my entire body and through working with Dr. Dickerson I was able to avoid the heavy immunosuppressant drugs. Sure I'm on a retinoid at a super low dose, which is about as good as it gets, so I am so grateful. Did I get here without lifestyle changes? Absolutely not. Dr. Dickerson can only help you figure out opportunities to improve and you have to decide to change accordingly. I did decide. And I am so happy with outcomes. Instead of shutting down my immune system I have become healthier! Neil , the health coach, has helped me identify ways to moderate my weight and he's been great to work with. Great people who care. This is the path forward with medicine. Stop injecting yourself with massively expensive drugs and do the work to improve yourself. Its possible for many! Yes, billing is less consistent than youre accustomed from your usual docs. Truthfully they're pry too focused on identifying root cause of your issues and billing is a secondary thought, still, I get it. However the website spells it out so just be an adult and research and if you're not getting billed on a schedule you need....speak up? Simple concept. You know you're getting a service and will be asked to pay for it... Not everything is handed to you on a platter."
"I can’t say enough wonderful things about my experience here! With the nursing team, Dr. Dickerson and Neill as my health coach! I have been on Semaglutide for several months now, along with health coaching, and it has changed my life, everything is done to make you feel extremely safe and confident in your decisions, including bloodwork upfront, to make sure it’s safe, along with health coaching along the way to help change Relationships with food and understanding what the body requires and what it doesn’t require. Throughout this process, the team has made sure I am not losing too much weight each week, along with creating healthy eating habits and lifestyle changes that I can take through the rest of my life when the process is done. I would highly recommend meeting with this wonderful team if you are thinking about weight loss, and doing it the right way, instead of going online or to people who may not care as much about your health and the long game and doing it the wrong way. The team here will be a part of my health journey for a long time to come and I am so grateful!"
"Dr. Dickerson truly seemed to care about my health, she was thorough and understanding. However, the billing here has ruined my experience and I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. They did not once send me an invoice throughout the 6 months I was working with Dr. Dickerson. Then just last week, I received a statement with all of my visits on it, which summed up to quite a bit as you can imagine. When I called to get clarification on why I just received my first statement and what the initial $200 fee was used for, Kayla was not very friendly and accused me of not paying my invoices, when I never received any!! She also said the $200 was a "membership fee" for the first 3 months which she never mentioned this before. I sent a message to the doctor, Kayla, and the billing person to express my concerns that this has been an unprofessional approach to billing and that despite this I would still like to work with Dr. Dickerson and Kayla said they would allow me to make payments. Then I received a message from Neill Dickerson that they were waiving my second 3-month membership fee, which they never billed me for it or even clarified that it was due every 3 months. Keep in mind this is 6 months in!! Neill explained that since they are waiving the fee, Dr. Dickerson will not be able to continue working with me! I am very frustrated and disappointed with this facility, their staff and the doctor. I worked very hard and spent a lot of money to follow the protocol that Dr. Dickerson had me on, only to still have gut issues unresolved and huge bill for it. And throughout this whole debacle Dr. Crystal Dickerson never spoke up to ease my concerns or even to wish me well when I was dumped as her patient."
"I am so grateful to have found Dr Dickerson. After dealing with unexplained liver elevation numbers for months, none of the traditional medicine doctors were able to figure out why and told me to just keep a watch on it. That's when my mom stumbled upon Spire Health Pathways and I immediately booked an appointment. I had always been intrigued into functional medicine but was unable to afford the expensive out of pocket rates. It was so nice that Spire was able to bill my insurance. I was so impressed from the first visit, from Dr Dickerson taking the time to look over all my labs so far and do a deep dive into my every day life. I thought I had already gone over my diet and lifestyle with a fine tooth comb, but she was able to pinpoint some things I hadn't even thought about that could be contributing to my problem. I left with a plan of action. When I returned to my follow up appointment, my numbers had returned to normal and my pain had significantly decreased. I cannot thank Dr Dickerson enough for taking the time to figure out the root cause of my issues and not just put a bandaid over it. Literally no other doctor knew how to fix it, and it was back to normal a month later thanks to her recommendations. I cannot recommend her enough. I only wish I had found her sooner!"
