Colorado Infectious Disease Associates is a healthcare institution located at 950 East Harvard Avenue in Denver, Colorado, United States. Our team of doctors is dedicated to providing excellent and collaborative care to all members of our community.
One of our main focuses is on Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs (ASP), which aim to reduce the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics and length of therapy in order to combat antimicrobial resistance, healthcare acquired infections, and overall costs. For more information on our program, please contact Dr. Sean Pawlowski at (303) 777-0781.
Please note that we require a referral for all new clinic patients, and our staff will reach out to you to schedule an appointment once we have received your information. We also offer outpatient infusion services through Paragon/Insite and can help arrange home infusions.
In addition, we now offer Travel Medicine consultations to help ensure your safety while traveling internationally. Our team can provide recommendations and partner with Porter Pharmacy for any necessary vaccines. Click on the Travel Medicine link above for more information.
For those at high risk of HIV infection, we offer Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) as a preventative measure. When taken as prescribed, PrEP is over 99% effective in preventing HIV.

"I would steer clear of this clinic for gut-related infectious disease issues and only proceed with extreme caution for other conditions as well. During my interactions with the doctors and staff here, I experienced alarming levels of incompetence over the span of several days. Before requesting a referral to Colorado Infectious Disease, I first confirmed with the office manager, Amanda, that their doctors had experience with my condition. With the green light, my internal medicine doctor’s office then sent over the referral paperwork. MISTAKE #1: When I called to follow up, I was told the nurse practitioners declined the referral. When digging further, it turns out they were reading the wrong lab report. I told the receptionist to tell the NPs which lab had issued the positive lab result and to please have the NPs look there. MISTAKE #2: When I called to follow up, I was told that the nurse practitioners declined the referral because they were unfamiliar with the lab report format. (Seriously???) I requested to speak with the office manager, I walked her through everything, and she agreed to take it up directly with the physician since sometimes the NPs make mistakes. MISTAKE #3-4: I called Amanda, the office manager to follow up on the referral. She gave me the following pieces of highly erroneous information. 1) Dr. Siebert said that e.coli O157 is not a pathogenic bacteria. (I have to believe there was something lost in translation, or maybe this doctor was also viewing the wrong lab result, but I confirmed I heard Amanda correctly. She restated herself and acknowledged that she saw my diagnosis of e.coli O157 on my lab report, and the doctor said I did not harbor any pathogenic bacteria.) I then challenged her on e.coli O157 not being pathogenic, explaining that e.coli O157 “is a major foodborne pathogen causing severe disease in humans worldwide,” which is the first thing that pops up on a Google search. Nonetheless, Amanda insisted Dr. Siebert had said e.coli O157 was not a pathogenic bacteria, and it was not her place to question him. 2) Dr. Siebert said that if I did have pathogenic e.coli, I would be hospitalized right now rather than suffering at home. (Another false statement, as e.coli O157 can be harmless and asymptomatic for some, while it can be life-threatening for the elderly and immune-compromised, or it can fall somewhere in between, as in my case.) 3) Dr. Siebert said if I did have pathogenic e.coli, I should not treat it with antibiotics as it is highly antibiotic-resistant. (First correct statement by Dr. Siebert, and hence the 2 star review. Bravo.) I have never had such a poor experience when interacting with a doctor’s office in my life. The mistakes, the illogical communication, and the misinformation provided truly shocked me. While frustrating in the moment and discouraging to know there are patients trying to receive care here, I am extremely grateful that I did not end up under the care of this clinic or its providers."
"The doctor was nice while my dad was in the hospital but they said he needs to be on antibiotics for a year and it has been a nightmare getting his prescription refilled because despite them saying he needs it for a YEAR he has to hunt down refills every few months. Then they blame the pharmacy for not sending it over and the mean time he’s take NOTHING! If it’s that important he take this for a year write a script for a YEAR! They NEVER answer the phone and they NEVER call me back. They hung up on my dad when he said if they want him on meds they need to keep track of when to send his refill. She said no it’s YOUR job. Apparently my dad is supposed to go to Walmart well before he runs out, wait in line to ask the pharmacist to send of the script but alas when he does that they still say they never got it, it’s everyone else’s fault and hang up on patients. He had labs done and they said they needed to be repeated in a few weeks and they never put in an order, so if you do not tell them how to do their job and when to put in refills, remind them they said someone needed to be on antibiotics for a year and remind them labs need to be repeated they do absolutely NOTHING!"
"Dr Oprea is a great Dr. I love being able to see her. I can make an appointment any time and tell her my concerns. I ask important questions and she is helpful in helping me understand the answers to them. I will be seeing her in the future for my needs."
"Dr. Eison is one of the smartest doctors I have ever met (and I've met a lot). The medical staff is great and always nice when I visit. A couple of times I had to wait a bit after being called back. But normally do not have to wait long at all."
"Amazing they are going off of old information. These doctors have no ieal what they are talking about. You ask questions and they try to make you feel inadequate about knowing what is best for yourself. Make sure you arm yourself with knowledge before being bullied. It's your body your your only and best advocate. Ask questions and take time to make informed decisions. That is all I asked for is time and they became irritated."
