"When I called Ninth Avenue Internal Medicine, I was very sick. The person who answered the phone said that Dr Borisov "doesn't see sick people." They said I had to have a negative Covid test AND a negative flu test before coming in. I told her I had one at-home Covid test that was over a year old--why couldn't Dr Borisov administer a test? She repeated that they don't allow sick people in the office. I had no idea what to say. The reception person suggested (repeatedly) that I go to an urgent care clinic. Finally, she set me up with a Telehealth appointment with Dr. Borisov. When Dr. Borisov got on the phone, his first question was "Why didn't you come in? I can't test or examine if you're not here." After explaining, and after discussion, he prescribed antibiotics and steroids without knowing what was making me sick. I like Dr Borisov. But this time, the antibiotics did not work. Several days later, my symptoms had not changed. I ended up going to an urgent care, doubling the amount of money I had to spend. The doc there prescribed antibiotics and steroids, which worked this time. The money I spent on a copay and portion of the payment (haven't met my deductible yet) at Ninth Avenue Internal Medicine was completely wasted. The money was wasted as was my time. I was still sick for days, missing work. In the end, the receptionist's advice to see an urgent care doctor was the best advice. I will be looking for a new PCP."

They reach out to you about appointments, respond quick, and are always on top of it. I drive 30 minutes to see my doctor and it is worth it."
