"Dr. Shah helped save my mother's life. Having been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer and given 8 months to live, we visited 2 practices. The first one offered immunotherapy and the second offered chemotherapy after spending 5 minutes with my mom. She refused both. Then, we visited Dr, Shah. He listened intently and was very patient and kind. After looking at my mother's scalp, he told us that her cancer was inoperable, but explained that radiation was the standard of treatment for her rare cancer type and that the side effects would be minimal. He offered to expedite an appointment with a radiation oncologist. On our first visit, my mother fell in love with him. He (Dr. Chen) was well-prepared with case studies and photos of a patient who had been cured. He spent an hour with my mom and told her that while he could not promise a cure, that he did promise he would do his best and that he would treat her like his own mother. To make a long story short, my mom underwent 7 treatments with no serious side effects. Post-treatment imaging and also imaging a year later, showed no sign of cancer. We cannot be more grateful for Dr. Shah, who pointed her in the right direction and to Dr. Chen for doing what he promised - his best. He and Dr. Shah were absolutely awesome, and so was the staff at the Good Samaritan Hospital cancer center! Ten-stars for all!!"

"Dr Shah and his staff are an amazing group of individuals. Every step of the way they have helped me in every area leading up to surgery, the surgery day and even post surgery. I have never had an issue with ANY of the staff or DR. Shah and have never been made to feel as if they didn't care about me in the slightest. I always know there is a chance for things to still come back, and am checked constantly to make sure that if it dose we can catch it sooner than later. All around i would give more stars if I could and will continue to go back to Dr.Shah and his staff for years to come as long as they are in practice."

"First of all I would like to point out that the other review here if you read over it is not for Dr. Shah at all nor is it in any way or form a reflection on his practice. My experience with Dr. Shah is not direct in that i was not the patient but the supporting family member. My mother was thought to have pancreatic cancer due to a typical cells being found in a region of her pancreas dutch after having a stent put in to open the duct back up and a biopsy being preformed. It was then suggested that we do other tests to make sure this was the best move but it was told that it would be safer to do the WHIPPLE surgery as a precaution to make sure that if there was even a small amount of cancer it wouldn't spread to the liver and then we would only have at max 6 months with her if no treatment was given a year if treatment was. the surgery was said to take 9 hours. During the surgery I received every hour updates, all good, and didn't think much about it till it was mentioned because of this, that it took 11 hours. I then received a phone call from Dr. Shah directly informing me that everything went great and the only reason it took so long was cause my mother is a tiny woman and doing the robotic surgery he did not want to create larger holes that needed and it being such delicate work in such a small space. I leave this review because my mother has made a wonderful recovery, Dr. Shah made me and her and my family feel completely comfortable with doing the surgery and has been an amazing person to deal with every check up and throughout her recovery. She did not have a simple surgery and if it was anyone else having done the surgery i am not sure I would have been as level headed about it as I was. Dr. Shah and his staff are amazing and keep you feeling cared about from the start of talks till well after the surgery. I know that my mother wasn't the only person that he was dealing with at the time and yet I felt that my mother was in great hands and like we where cared about, not just cattle being sent to be dipped and pushed through to pasture."

"It was very challenging to make an appointment. It has been over two months and yet I have not been able to schedule an appointment. Staff would mention other staff would return my phone calls, Miriam and Rita were unprofessional and rude. During an incident a staff member yelled at me, "what do you want me to do?". There is a lack of respect, policy and communication."
