"I took my son to Insights for evaluative testing. The entire process from start to finish was a dream! Everyone was so responsive to my many questions, and Dr. Cason was extremely professional with me and personable with my son. While the evaluation was taking place, Dr Dumke came by to make sure I was comfortable and didn’t need anything. Seeing that this may be a long process for our family, I’m excited to have Insights Denver on my team!"
"When I filled out my intake paperwork I requested to specifically be assessed for ASD and ADHD. I was only assessed and diagnosed with ASD and was told on my feedback/diagnosis call that I was able to call the office and get scheduled for an ADHD evaluation. I left voicemails for about 3 weeks with no call back before finally getting ahold of someone at the office just to be told they couldn’t bill my Medicaid twice in a year so I was unable to do an ADHD assessment. I requested a call back from the doctor that I got my original evaluation from to see if there was any other way to get an assessment or talk about out of pocket pricing and was told the doctors do not call patients after their feedback session. Ultimately they offered no other solution than to wait a full year or go elsewhere (but there were no suggestions on where else evaluates adults). I have never left a bad review anywhere; while I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt, they made a huge mistake on their side and had no suggestion on how to fix it, and even made a comment about me just wanting medication. Not many places assess adults for ASD and ADHD so it’s unfortunate that my only option is to go somewhere else."
"Nightmare of a place, no idea how they stay in business. My wife made an appointment 3 months in advance, called to confirm 2 weeks prior and then the day before the appointment, they canceled on her because she "didn't confirm" her appointment. On top of that, they stated that they don't really specialize in adult onset behavioral issues and that insurance may not cover it. Very unprofessional business practices and I would steer anyone another direction."
"I wanted to make sure I reviewed this to assist future adults also wanting to get tested for Autism Spectrum Disorder at Insights. I have Kaiser, so I'm sure it depends on what insurance you have. Basically I went through 2 months of going in circles. I spoke with the office manager and she stated she didn't know if Kaiser covers ASD testing for adults. I was finally able to see a psychiatrist with Kaiser to get a referral for Insights testing. The psychiatrist told me that Kaiser contracts with Insights and the office management knows we don't cover ASD testing for adults. I was so distraught. I'm already nervous to finally get tested for ASD and I don't trust easily. And this made me lose faith in the process for awhile. Mainly because the office manager was probably stressed when I spoke to her, but she wasn't very kind over the phone. I wish someone would've told me the truth sooner. I just wanted to let others know (mainly if they have Kaiser *unless those rare exceptions apply to you). I wanted to save others time and disappointment. Again, I'm sure it depends on your insurance. Just a heads up."
