She helped me escape a very toxic situation with my father, with concrete help and contacts that helped me get away from a highly abusive parasitic situation I had as an adult (my dad is a malignant narcissist and a parasite), and start healing. I would recommend her without reservation to anyone suffering from complex trauma -- especially severe childhood trauma. If you are LGBTQ+, I would ESPECIALLY recommend her. "I do not recommend Karen Wise to anyone. My daughter and I went to see her because of a recent conflict we were having. Halfway through the session, Karen told my daughter that she would need to cut me out of her life (because I didn't see things in the same perspective as my daughter). That should never even have been an option as a solution! My daughter and I are close and have been able to resolve previous conflicts that we've had, so why would Karen even suggest something like that? There were a few other red flags that I saw, but this was the one that bothered me the most."
