"This agency continued to charge me for "comprehensive" insurance for the last 19 months for a car that was stolen and totaled in May of 2021. I am a nurse and as most of you can recall we were kind of busy in 2021. The totaled car was on my insurance policy for 19 months as "suspended". No person from this agency explained to me what "suspended" means. I was only made aware that this car was still on my policy after this agency added almost fifty dollars a month to the cost for only liability on a 16 year old car. As a consumer I had no idea what that "suspended" meant. The agents I contacted working under Tammy Lopez stated it was MY... I just want to reiterate that it was MY responsibility to let them know the car was totaled according to her. I do not understand how the individual that was handling the claim and declared the car a total loss who was a part of the Allstate parent group could not communicate this to the agency. I, as a consumer was taken advantage of and they continued to bill me for a loss for 19 months. I was given a refund for only 6 months and told their "system" could not process anything other than that. I was taken advantage of and there was zero communication from them in regards to the loss of my stolen vehicle or what "suspended" means. They did NOT do their due diligence and continued to profit on their lack of internal communication by billing me every month for almost two years. However, I do not really care that much about the funds owed. I will be ok. I do fear for others that have a policy with them and that have been taken advantage of. The agents that answer the calls and deal with people need to be better educated so that people will not be taken advantage of. More education for the consumer and the people that we trust needs to be a priority. I encourage everyone that has been taken advantage of from this agency to file a complaint with the BBB and DORA (Department of regulatory agencies) so that there can be some accountability for this gross negligence. These agencies are there to make sure insurance companies do not take advantage of us. We fund them with our taxes so use them. I have ended an almost decade long relationship with Allstate due to the mishandling and Laissez-faire attitude of the people involved. The only part of the hand I feel Allstate has given me is the one between the index and ring finger."
"Tammy took time personally to respond to my inquiries and got everything lined up for me, making the transition from my old provider to Allstate seamless. She also saved us $1,600 a year!"
"We were loyal allstate customers for a few years and tammy seemed great.until I got into my one and only car accident totalling my car. Tammy was not helpful at all, treated us as though we were nothing more than a burden, I called on time trying to reach her and asked her assistant some questions and was literally laughed at. I paid for full coverage yet I received a bill a whole year later saying insurance hasn't paid any of my medical bills and I now owe 21 grand. Sure. You're in good hands with allstate until you mess up and need them to come through. I'm going to be pursuing legal action because Tammy is now ignoring my emails."
"Tammy Lopez is a special breed. In a world where customer service and follow-through are often forgotten, Tammy remains a column in responsible duty to her base. She has been extremely attentive to my often changing insurance needs, constantly reaches out to make sure the I am properly covered, and has saved me a pile of money. Will go nowhere else. EVER."
"If i could give this office a negative star review i would. This particular agent was contacted to add vehicles and drivers to a policy from a different state. This agent dropped medical coverage, raised our deductible and then stated it was our fault for not catching the changes. The changes were not pointed out to us, in fact the quote we received had distracting circles drawing our attention to other changes in the coverage. This agent did NOT transfer our vehicles, simply added them to her commission and left them on our old policy. We enjoyed paying for two active policies. Thankfully our former agent was efficient and was able to assist. When we decided to leave Allstate due to frustration (after 25 years) this agent sent us the following email blaming us and stating that we had a better relationship and should have just called. She blamed us for not reviewing the coverage changes. For the record, we did catch the changes when we received the official documents from Allstate thankfully. **Side note: removing medical payments can seriously change the direction of someone's life.** I still love Allstate, but i would stay away from this agent as if my life depended on it. Highly unprofessional agent. Here is the snarky email: Kathy called me this morning noting that you were upset with me about making changes to your policy to reduce premium, that I was bait and switching you to reduce your rates. I know we'd gone through several different options to work in (insured driver) and the boys. I had saved those changes in the system awaiting your call to review and complete with the coverage's you wanted. I understand that you spoke with Kathy on July 31 - she used the saved changes in the system, but not without reviewing them with you. As I understand it from Kathy you "approved" them. We would not remove/add/change any coverage's without your authorization. I thought you and I had a better relationship - you should have called me instead of being upset with my staff - I knew the circumstances and Kathy did not - you also are accountable for reviewing your policy and making sure that the changes are correct. If you found any errors I would have hoped you'd call and have us correct immediately. It would have been a simple update -- Your policies are terminated effective 08.17."
