"They did a great job of remodeling from the old Book Bar and like others have said, the ambiance is very nice and updated! Came in late afternoon and there were literally 4 other people in the place. After 5 minutes, no one came to our table so I went to the bar for a menu. All the drinks looked pretty uninspired, which would be ok if they did a great job of making them. My old fashioned just wasn’t very good. Lots of potential in this space but drinks and service need some work."
"My friend and I ordered a $40 bottle of wine and the bartender upsold us to another bottle that was "a little more expensive," which turned out to be $80. We should've asked how much, but "a little more expensive" to me means $10 or 15, not double. She originally thought we wanted glasses, so she poured 2 glasses and then gave us the bottle when she realized we wanted the whole thing. The bottle was 1/3 of the way gone and she clearly underpoured the glasses. I left feeling taking advantage of. In addition, tipping the standard 20% doesn't seem right if there isn't table service, as I would expect for this type of bar. The ambience is very nice, but the drink/cocktail list felt underwhelming."
"just what the neighborhood was missing. unpretentious but super nice inside. lovely wine selection under $15 per glass and cheap beer options. the seating areas are so cozy and welcoming. love the hefty chairs at the bar. i would love to see some little nibbles served upon ordering drinks though. right now i think you have to buy chips if you want a snack."
"Great interior, really loved the vibes and indoor house plants. We went there when it was super busy, a friend ordered a mezcal ranch water cocktail and she used tequila instead but that’s fine we get that it was busy. I ordered an old fashion, the old fashion tasted like they used a cheap mix flavor, the ranch water also wasn’t great. I think the cocktails are just over priced for the quality."
