"I visited the ER in Foothill’s Community Hospital while on vacation two weeks ago. The nursing care and the doctors proved to be caring, competent and knowledgeable. I was particularly impressed by the doctor’s persistent inquisitiveness about how I was doing, feeling and responding to Care."
"They wanted a review from Joseph, unfortunately my name is James. Admitted for suicidal ideation, released 3 hours later, worst bedside manner. They put you in a section of the hospital nobody visits. And they leave you there for hours. I'm under psychiatric care. I truly wanted to kill myself and my friends called the authorities on me. Thanks Foothills for your warm and chilling compassion."
"Very nice people here who helped us. Yes, we had to wait, but that's typical. The ER rooms are nice and modern with doors, not curtains. The staff and the doctors were efficient and friendly. My spouse was well taken care of and they allowed us to be billed for rhe copay instead of requiring payment that day. They have family waiting rooms in the ER area which is very much appreciated. This is our new ER."
"Of course, I never want to go to the emergency room in the evening, however the experience was not bad at all. They were very busy, and offered me a hall bed if I wanted to be served more quickly. It actually made the experience a bit more enjoyable since, by being in the hallway, there was quite a bit of entertainment and interaction. For as busy as they were, my care was very good I was taken care of quickly, and was done and sent home within a little over 2 hours. As much as I did not want to go to the emergency room, I'm glad I did and it was a rewarding experience."
"I came into their ER. With a third grade concussion. I was extremely confused and disoriented. It took two hours for me to been seen. When I finally got seen they took another two hours to get a head CT and I was provided with nothing to help with the pain. After a total of fours of waiting and receiving zero answers and the staff on duty being disrespectful, negligent, and unhelpful I was discharged. When a family member asked what the diagnosis was they said a light concussion and provided no further information and sent me home. I received the worst care of my life that night and the following day when I came back again. I returned profusely vomiting, with a high fever, dehydrated, disoriented, and with excessive fatigue. I came with a friend and they weren’t allowed in the room with me until three hours after arriving. I begged the staff to let my friend come in the room, give me water, turn off the lights in the room, and do literally anything to help with the pain I was feeling. I didn’t get my temperature taken after continuously telling them I had a fever. I got a IV 30 minutes before I left. The only thing I was proscribed was Zofran which only made me feel worse. I left after seven hours, still puking, and still in pain. I went to a physician the following Monday. They diagnosed me with a third grade concussion and gave me directions on how to take care of myself until I was cleared to go back to normal life. I was told that I couldn’t do anything for two weeks after the incident. This ER was the worst. They couldn’t do the simple things to help a patient. My injury could have been a lot worse and after my two experiences I am traumatized and realized going there was the biggest mistake."
