"While shopping here for a dress, I sneaked a peak at the price tag and it was $325. The sales person who saw my reaction asked me if I had looked at Macy’s for other options."
"My sister splurged on an item for me for my birthday. Unfortunately it was a little too big and so we went in to return or exchange. It still had the original tag, unworn, unwashed, and only 2-3 weeks after purchase … but we lost the receipt. And apparently if we had an account, this would have solved everything, but my sister was not told this at the time of purchase. The manager told us they could only refund 50% of store credit. This is no where on their website’s return policy and we have never had this problem before at White House Black Market or any other store where we couldn’t return an unused, recently purchased item for store credit. I completely understand certain policies that need to be in place to avoid things like theft, but this policy (which seems to be unique to this particular store) seems archaic and only serves encourage us to shop solely online. Otherwise what is even the point of a physical store? It seems that other people have had this same issue, so if you have made it this far - make sure to keep all your archaic paper receipts, or better yet, shop elsewhere. Even if it just a different location."
"The worker talked my mom into a bigger size (size 4) into a size 6 then when she tried on a size 10 to check if the color would look good on her. The worker gave her unwanted opinion and said “actually that fits!” My mom ended up ordering a size 6 because this employee put in her opinion that wasn’t asked for. So disrespectful and disgusting I work in customer service and work with people every day doing hair and I couldn’t imagine telling someone something like that."
"This is a nice store with helpful sales personnel. The clothing fits well and much of it can be used for office settings or social occasions - it's really versatile. Also, a lot of it is machine washable, so it's convenient. I've been a fan of the clothing for years"
"Whenever I go to this store, the staff is always extremely helpful! Victoria has helped me a few times when I'm there and I always find something spectacular! She will always bring me an extra, dress, belt, and offer to help pair an outfit with jewelry. The clothes are also a great quality, versatile, and closet staples."
