Strata Apartments

"Management could care less about anything, there is always new hires in the office, no one ever answers the phone or returns calls, if you want anything done it has to get done in the office during business hours and even then it can be hard to reach someone. I wouldn't event leave 1 star. Also the amenities are not accessible at all hours as they should be. I would not recommend this place to live, as it is not worth the price you pay."

"Strata operates on greed and ignorance. I went for a tour, the person at the front desk walked me through a model apartment and told me that an apartment was available for me to move into the next day. I showed up the next morning and said I would like to apply and move in. She then told me that I can't fill out an application there, that I need to go fill it out on line. She then handed me a card with a web site address on it for the application. I went home and filled out the app, paid my $53 application fee. WHY didn't she hand me this card or explain this to me during the tour! Over the next couple of days I called to check on the status of my application. I kept getting a central office that told me I had to call the local office for updates and they would give me the exact same phone number I had called in the fist place. They would then forward me to the local office and it would always go to voice mail. I drove to the office to get answers as the phone system is obviously a frustrating dead end. The person at the desk said "it generally takes two days for application review" and they will let me know. I asked why she told me the apartment was available to move into the next day if that's not true and app review takes days. WHY didn't she explain this when I went on the tour. I attempted calls again the next day with no luck and drove back over again to check on app status. She said my application was approved and then asked me if I had paid the $200 "Holding Fee". I said I'm not paying a holding fee. If my application is approved and you have an apartment available for me to move into now, why would I pay a holding fee. Let's just get this done. She said if I don't pay a $200 holding fee I can't move in. Anyone else see the common sense problem here? Why would I pay to hold something I can move into right now...Why didn't she tell me about the holding fee when I took the tour. The employees of this complex obviously don't know how to communicate properly. it's like pulling teeth to find out all of the steps you have to go through. I have to assume that their employees are ignorant because they are low paying positions with lacking training as another effort to increase company profits. They are also obviously attempting to nickel and dime potential tenants through various fees that make no sense. I will not be moving into this apartment or any apartment owned by this company. Way to many red flags at the start which tells me they will most likely also suck at tenant relations as you live there and then try to find every excuse to steal your deposits and once again nickel and dime you when you try to move out. After a week of frustration dealing with these idiots, I wish I could give them negative stars instead of 1 star. Don't fall victim to this Miss-Managed, Greedy company."

"DO NOT LIVE HERE !!! I used to love this place when I moved it. It was my first apartment, Then 2023 hit and it became HORRIBLE trash everywhere beer bottles everywhere the trash cans are never cleaned, there is just an overall mess. the leasing agents were good and them somewhere along the months of august had a change of staff and it went all types of down hill. My fridge light NEVER WORKED AND WAS NEVER FIXED SINCE I WAS THERE !! also keep in mind they call themselves luxury and THEY ARE NOT !!! They suck I want to give this place a negative a million stars if I could. they dont care about you and only care about their numbers and money. Youre also next to montebello so expect high crime rate our cars got broken into at least 3 times so that sucked for the amount we were paying. they use DOUMSO or something like that and they are all just a terrible cash grab. They never answer their phones if you need information or questions, they literally turn off their phones. I dont know about what your idea of customer service is but that does not sound like luxury to me SAVE YOUR MONEY AND RUN TO SOMETHING BETTER THIS PLACE WAS NOT IT"

"Such a smart use of space, lovely staff, warm community! It's home! I love the way the sun plays off the buildings giving it a warm glow! Even the dumpsters are set behind gates to give them a nice appearance! So many great amenities...a place for everyone!"

"I lived at Strata March 2020-April 2021 and had a great experience. Would highly recommend this complex! With the constantly changing covid restrictions, Strata did a great job trying to keep some of their amenities open. The gym and pool area are beautiful! On top of keeping them open as much as covid regulations would allow, they constantly cleaned these amenities! Whenever we requested maintenance, they were quick to send someone. Well maintained grounds and friendly staff in the leasing office."
