"I unfortunately live across the alley from this apartment complex and have to hear the unbelievably loud voice recording saying “you are under surveillance” that plays seemingly every time someone goes near the garage. I have to sleep with closed windows, a fan, and a white noise machine in order to not hear it. I’ve sent multiple messages requesting they lower the volume and it has actually only gotten significantly louder. It is driving me insane - if I can hear it from across the alley, I’m sure that people who actually live in the building can hear it even worse. It’s ridiculously inconsiderate, especially when it likely does nothing to stop somebody from doing something illegal."

"I’ve lived at Sylvan Uptown for 3 1/2 years. I thought I would give a objective pros and con review. Pros: The apartments are larger for the most part than the average apartment on the market. The building is very quiet. I have never had to make a noise complaint in the entire time of my residency. The apartments have new modern appliances The first floor lobby is very beautiful and was recently renovated. North Capitol Hill is a great neighborhood for the most part. Other than the homeless/drug problem, which just about every US city has, There are lots of stores and restaurants in the area. You really do not even need to own a car if you work close by. Cons: The beautiful first floor lobby is deserted. No one is ever downstairs at all due to the cold and uninviting ambience. There also is no TV or fireplace. The previous management companies have told me there is no real budget for resident events. We are now on our fourth management company. Four months ago the owners of the building arbitrarily decided that all of the residents must pay for the utilities of the common areas. My utility bill jumped from $48 per month to over $130 per month. None of the apartments have ice makers."

"Moved in during May, and had a few issues with little things that corporate had missed the mark on. But, the property manager, Harrison has been incredibly helpful, meticulous, and friendly handling every single issue fast & promptly with great communication. If you’re looking for a place in Denver, you’re in good hands with Sylvan and Harrison, the best property manager in the area by a long shot!"

"Sylvan Uptown would easily get a 5 start rating given how excellent the management company has been since they took over this year. Harrison is the most professional and helpful property manager I've worked with and the maintenance staff, especially Tony, is super responsive and quick. The common areas are always clean as well so kudos to the team. They have repeatedly gone above and beyond for me especially during lease renewal. Which is where the 1 star deduct comes from; the owner's do not seem to have our best interest in mind at times and are chasing the bottom line. Thankfully the property manager's do a good job advocating for us while constantly hosting community events."
