"I have to say I don’t see as many people “loitering” as other reviews mention. I live on the side with no parking garage and never have any issues except that I can never find a parking space in the enclosed area. I do want to mention that when paying rent you are automatically enrolled in this “Bilt rewards” which costs $8 a month. You can accumulate 250 points a month and 1000 points equates to $5.50 off your rent. I’d love to know why residents are paying $96 a year to potentially save $66. Not sure why the building would allow residents to be scammed like that but all of these buildings are owned by giant companies that don’t really care. I find the office staff and maintenance generally very helpful but all of these buildings are so predatory now it’s almost impossible to afford to live around here."
"My feelings are consistent with most the reviews, but considering the price and location this is a decent apartment. The garage door has been broken since I moved in (update is it’s been fixed). The elevators were also broken. The fire alarms have went off twice this week, so I’m expecting this to be a consistent issue like a lot of reviews have said. Concerning the loitering issue, I recently came from a living situation where people loitering was a huge issue so comparatively this isn’t bad. The office staff is extremely nice (we love Stormye) and the maintenance teams is very on top of their work orders (I need to emphasize the maintenance staff is absolutely awesome and manage request immediately). So far for the price I’d say this is a good place to live, but the issues most people have expressed are true. If you choose to move here just be prepared to deal with certain things, but I wouldn’t say don’t move here. Will add updates everytime the fire alarm goes off, because it seems like a huge issue. #3 Monday Jan 22 at 6:30 am"
"The office staff is usually not too hard to get a hold of considering the amount of people that reside here. They are always friendly and helpful when I have to go pickup my packages from them. The maintenance staff is also very friendly and respond promptly. The older gentleman with the bucket that picks up cigarette’s and trash is also very nice. However, the property itself has gone downhill the last couple of years. People do not clean up after their dog, even if the dog makes a mess in the hallway. The dog area smells of urine, and there are always piles of poop. I do not allow my dog to play in that area because of the unsanitary conditions and the urine smell is very strong. I feel bad for the people whose apartment is by the dog area. They do close the dog area every few months to do a deep clean, but it should be done more often in my opinion. There are two guys that constantly smoke cigarettes on the walkway leading up to the parking garage and also in the parking garage. This causes their secondhand smoke to blow down the hallway and I can smell it from my apartment at times. You’re also forced to walk through their smoke just to get to your car. In addition the homeless problem has gotten so bad here. Nothing is being done to make the area safer and keep the homeless from making this their home too. Every day there are homeless people sleeping, smoking, and peeing between the electrical equipment outside the parking garage since it is so close to the bus station. Some of those homeless people have entered the garage where cars have been stolen. I’ve seen a few wondering the hallways as well. They also hangout, pee, and do drugs in the doorway in the front of the building closest to the plaza. That doorway has been rendered useless by residents since it is not safe to use anymore. The sidewalks outside the building get really dark at night, and there are always sketchy people wondering around the plaza and complex at night. There are always people passed out, presumably on fentanyl, in the grass areas day and night. There have been multiple occasions where people have gotten into the building and pulled the fire alarm in the middle of the night as well. I would 100% not feel safe leaving my apartment after dark if I were a woman living here. I can’t even count the amount of times I’ve been asked for money by the homeless just walking to my car. I’ve even see homeless people doing drugs in the parking garage stairwells. The security patrol does nothing to keep them off the property. This place could be a lot safer and nicer if the security actually patrolled the area and prevented this place from becoming the hangout spot for the drug addicts. The security should be doing checks of the doorway at the front of the building, and around the parking garage to help keep them away. Most of the businesses that are connected to the building have closed due to the homeless taking over. The city of englewood does nothing about it, but our apartments could if they wanted to. It’s also crazy how many shopping carts just get left on the property by the homeless."
