"X @Sloans has been my best city apartment experience living in Denver for 3 years now. My apartment itself is cute and modern and I love the design. It is located off of Colfax and right next to Sloan’s Lake Park so you get to experience a fun and diverse mix of city life while living here. With this location of course you will also encounter homeless, or those less fortunate, but the building managers have hired overnight security, monitor the security cameras around both buildings, and updated the garage and key fob access to help keep residents safe. The location is also really great because you have so many fun options in the neighborhood. You’re just a minutes walk from Alamo Drafthouse, Sloan’s Lake Park, Target, and lots of restaurants and breweries! The downside to this place is that there is not a great space to take your pets to the bathroom (besides the park). Sometimes pets have accidents in the building and residents are slow to clean it up. So if you have a dog you might consider a better option."
"I want to share my experience living in a property managed by Boutique/Wheelhouse during the transition between management when the building was bought up from 2021 to 2023. Unfortunately, things started going downhill once the property was bought up. There were several issues that made my living experience quite unpleasant: - Packages were constantly stolen due to people breaking in. - Dog poop was left everywhere on the property, including the roof, hallway, sidewalks, and parking lot. - The roof was nice, but the fireplace never worked and it was always dirty. - Some neighbors were disrespectful, leaving nasty notes on doors and even stealing packages from their own neighbors. - The front and side doors were often broken or left unlocked, allowing animals and unhoused individuals to enter. - The garage door opening constantly off the back alley was extremely loud and disruptive. To make matters worse, upon moving out, I was charged over $300 for painting for the next tenant. It seems like they will try to get their money any way they can, and I wouldn't be surprised if they do this at their other properties as well. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend avoiding Boutique/Wheelhouse properties. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what I went through."
"Laundry was stolen 4 times. Random charges up to 500 dollars just appear. Communication was lacking. Even when moving out they were trying to charge me extra. My packages went missing. Please do not move in"
"Would not recommend this apartment. So many problems with this apartment that it would take awhile to say. 1) The main door is broken...aka open to ANYONE to come in 2) I have encountered many homeless people staying in the common room or in stairwell staying the night and I do not feel safe. as I am writing this, there is someone on the second floor stairwell. 3) the garage door is broken...aka open to anyone to come in and park or come into the building. I do not feel safe and because there is a cost to break my lease, I will wait out my lease until June and will be moving. This is more of a safety issue and not of a staff issue as the maintenance team have been helpful in my apartment issues. 7/11 - I recently moved out and the apartment has charged me more than $1000. they found damages (which I did not have any) and fined me for not telling them 2 months ahead of time??? even though I did and changed my mind because a homeless person came up to me and asked me for money. This is absolutely not safe for anyone especially for girls. The apartment will try to assure you that everything is okay and "we are getting improved security measures" but truth is that is not the case, the security cameras don't work and mail gets stolen. SAVE YOURSELF THE PAIN AND HEADACHE AND CHOOSE A DIFFERENT PLACE"
"This apartment is located right off Colfax, which if you know the area you know the negatives that might come with that. There is however a fob to enter and protections for residents that when maintained in a working condition mean that the building *could* be safe, but the garage doors are almost always broken despite the 125$/mo fee to park there, and therefore there is almost always a way for transients to get in. Firstly, and most importantly; for a year we have been asking management to secure the building as the fob is a false sense of security. We have found the grill behind our apartment on and unattended with grill stones removed presumably for drug use by our not so friendly neighbors. We've seen people hopping the fence right behind our apartment to get into the common area. We’ve been aggressively confronted by a man who trespassed trying to spend the night in the common room. We’ve encountered a staircase full of non-residents who made the stairwell their place for the night. We’ve picked up trash left by trespassers. And police have been contacted several times over trespassing issues. We had some other complaints when we received an apartment that we were told would be cleaned when we toured it but obviously was not. Weirdest of all is that our bedroom door creates a wind tunnel when the AC or heat is on. We’ve also been missing a closet door that ‘was ordered’ and ‘in back stock’ since we moved in. Snow removal is nonexistent so the amenities that were selling points like the rooftop fireplace are unusable in the winter. Forget about every ordering packages if you live here. Over the past two years I must have lost at least 500-1000$ worth of packages. There is a package concierge for packages but its not always reliable. The office has in the past opened up our locker and retrieved something to "reset" the lockers, and lost / stole the package. I've also had a package left next to the lockers and thanks to those broken and wide open garage doors someone busted the package open, stole the item and left the box. You'd think all of this is on camera but no. Rent should be lower in this slum of an apartment. There is NO SECURITY, AND NO SAFETY. DO NOT LIVE HERE."
