Ironwood at the Ranch

"Exasperated, hamster wheel, brick wall.. chose one, but I am really tired of slipping and sliding down the stairs after it snows. I don't live at Ironwood, or I would probably insist on getting free and clear from my lease. Clear, there's a good word. CLEAR your sidewalks from snow! CLEAR the stairs from ice on EVERY flight of outdoor stairs! CLEAR.. the color of the skin on my tush once the bruises from falling heal! Too dramatic?! I'm trying to be nice and deliver a care package to a friend.. yup, I fell... Again!! I try not to park in the corner of parking lot by the dogs "potty" spot. The smell will knock you flat. Last time I was in the parking lot even the dog wouldn't go in that area to relieve itself. This time I am at risk of being part of a compilation of Americas Funniest Home Videos! Hey Ironwood, pretreat your stairs before the snow!! This isn't rocket science! You couldn't pay me to live here!"

"I toured an apartment, they took the application fees and then never followed up with an actual lease to sign. I ended up moving in somewhere else and contesting the charges successfully. Then months later they keep sending me emails saying I owe them money after moving out. "We hope you enjoyed your time living with us." I never lived here, you stole my application fee and then ghosted! Dodged a bullet, steer clear of this place. 3/19/24 Continue to receive calls and emails threatening collections over this "unpaid balance," this place is a total grift."

"I moved in back in 2021. At that time, maintenance wasn't bad, and communication with management was decent. Since then, the property has changed management twice. My mailbox has been broken into several times, and I had to request the post office to hold my mail because things have been stolen. Back in June of last year, I put in a maintenance request for the light outside my front door to be replaced. They said it was done, but clearly lied. Sidewalks are not salted when it snows. I ended up falling while going down the stairs towards the sidewalk last year because of ice. Now the fire alarm in my unit has been beeping, but there's no way to change the battery. Not sure how long it'll take maintenance to have that fixed. My lease is ending next month, but I've read from several reviews that they will refuse to return your deposit. So, I guess I'll have that to look forward to."

"Okay, pros and cons. Beautiful, quiet area and an amazing price for how neighborhood-like and charming the surroundings are. The apartments are very clean and livable. Beautiful windows, cozy fireplace, spacious kitchen, nice bathroom. Everything that’s important to us. However, maintenance is very hard to get ahold of and they don’t seem to know what they’re doing when they finally come.The squirrels are absolutely ferocious, but it’s an okay trade off for how beautiful the trees are. Overall I’d say they get a b."

"I have lived here for a year and a half. The first year wasn’t that bad, the last several months have been hell. Last fall they “updated” the windows and replaced them all. Which would’ve been great had they finished them. Two of my windows do not lock. I’m on a ground floor apartment as a single mom with two kids!! They don’t care! Two of the windows they forgot to insulate - so anytime it rains the water comes pouring in. I have videos and I have shown them to the leasing office as well as maintenance. Nothing. The rest of the windows were never finished - they still have the foam insulation all over which was never trimmed out. Most of my cheap closet doors are broken - nothing done My bathroom ceiling is broken and there’s black mold all over and it’s getting worse. Now there’s yellow coming from that ceiling as well. I don’t even want to know what that is, but it can’t be healthy. I’ve reported this as well and maintenance was here to look at that as well 6 weeks ago. Nothing. Large outdoor lamp outside my door has been lying down broken with broken glass for months. Nothing. Trash dumpsters constantly overflowing and it smells horrible. Nothing. I have lost both my mom and my sister. I had pics and momentous of both of them in my storage outside of my apartment, they were destroyed by mice and I lost everything. They didn’t care. The spiders and pincher bugs are everywhere inside the apartment. Everywhere My mailbox has been broken for months. It won’t lock. I’ve reported this multiple times and it’s still broken. Anyone can steal my mail. My son lives in the same complex a few buildings away. He hasn’t had air conditioning all summer. He had to buy a window unit. Still not fixed. His dishwasher has been broken since the spring. Nothing. His washer and dryer are both broken. Nothing. I have been in that office so many times a few of them know me by name and apartment. I have reached out to corporate twice with no response. I am paying almost $2200 a month for an apartment that is falling apart. I think it might be time to consult legal counsel as many other tenants here are doing. There’s a couple that lives in my building in the same apartment that are paying $1400 a month. Over $700 less than mine for the same not updated apartment!!! Do not move here. It’s a disaster and nobody cares. Oh and to make matters worse - my dad came here to help me with my toddler. I got hurt and was in the emergency room. They had his car towed. $300 later we got it back."
