"This was VERY HARD to rate. I would have rated it higher overall because of the outcome in the end, but there are MANY issues & flags. . .I appreciated Miguel & Domingo showed up at my door working overtime after 5pm to fix the kitchen outlet broken for over a month as promised by Erica, the Regional Manager. When no one called or showed up by 4:45pm, I figured it was another "No Call No Show". I did ESPECIALLY APPRECIATE that maintenance got the message I left the night before for maint. manager Teo that I had a medical appt, so to not come until after 2:30pm & I had realized I was not comfortable with him entering unless I was present. . . But it wasn't Teo, as promised by Erica. Neither gentleman was familiar to me nor wearing a uniform & I almost didn't let them in. PLUS I told Erica & Daniel, the property manager who was also present, that I only felt comfortable with Teo entering if I weren't there. I was assured by both it would only be him. . . However, both gentlemen were polite & courteous as they left to get booties before entering my apt. Miguel walked into my kitchen, looked at the outlet to the RIGHT of my STOVE, declared it was working & stepped out of the kitchen to leave me standing in there. He doesn't speak English & my Spanish is limited. Are work orders submitted in Spanish or English? I only speak English & watched Erica write my work order in English on a sheet of paper. There are 6 outlets in my kitchen & she wrote down what I told her: the outlet to the LEFT of my SINK was broken. While she didn't write this down, I told her it was obvious because I had an [industrial] extention cord running from my microwave across the kitchen to the dining area outlet for power. . . Miguel didn't even glance around to try and discover which outlet was broken. I had to call him back & point out the broken outlet and explain to him then Domingo the work order stated it was to the LEFT of my KITCHEN SINK. Please tell me why neither one of them didn't know that? Had I not been there in person, they would have left without fixing anything & I would have had to request a repair for the THIRD TIME. This is what we residents have been through for over 5 years IF maintenance showed up at all. There were other problems I wanted to inform the team of & show them to prepare the way for THOSE repairs after I get Erica's letter, but Domingo is a 3 month trainee & my Spanish is insufficient to tell Miguel. . . I believe Erica will keep her word & trust her integrity. Though the letter she said she would have posted to my door by yesterday, February 22, 2024, covering all she discussed with me then politely, confidently assured me of the day before on the 21st has not yet been delivered, I trust it will shortly. . . My other concerns are: if I hadn't been home, because it was past 5pm & I almost made a grocery run, would they have know to respect my wishes as disclosed & return the next day after 11am as request to do the repair? This is only because I have had a flat screen tv, designer blazers & other expensive, quality items stolen by staff in the past. (The door was always locked after each theft. Each key is unique as there is no master key on property. Only my spouse & son have ever had a key & none of us have lost ours.) Would they have entered since they clearly didn't understand the actual work order? I know the workers don't know when they will be doing something like painting that will ruin their uniform shirts, but can't they keep a trashed shirt or 2 on property & throw it on when doing that kind of work, so they approach us in a uniform? Staff turns over A LOT & we have NO IDEA who is a temp, on staff, or someone nefarious. . . By the way, you DO collect the 100% of uniforms - even wrecked ones - when they leave, right? So we can trust whoever IS in a uniform is on STAFF?"
"The new management is trying all they can to keep this a safe environment to live in. I am very pleased with the new management and maintenance team. Slowly but surely it’s becoming a better environment to live in. Thanks from the Raheem-X family"
"Well the manager was very helpful and she was honest about just being at the property for a short time. She took the time to really show the Apt and explained the new changes. I was only browsing but as soon as my lease is up in May I will be able to try and get a unit if available. Thank you again Danielle for your time and understanding."
"I've been here 15 years the last 3 years have been terrible, the last 2 summer's it rained, my apartment has a lot of damage, it smells real bad in the basement. The last year I had to move over to another apartment, I have a walker, I had to go up and down 3 sets of stairs, when I came back to my apartment they moved all my stuff and they took a lot of my stuff as well. Not to mention my walls were messed up, and they took out part of my carpet, and they cut part of the Walls out. I'm planning on moving, I just can't live here any more, it's not good on my health."
"I had storage unit in basement and I went today to get my Xmas stuff out and someone took my whole storage unit and empty it . I had my scooter my walker new I had printer and antique lamps and other stuff in there . I am so mad at the staff and managers . They towed my car 2 weeks ago out of my parking spot cost 400 to get it back when I was told it would not get towed.now I have no Xmas tree or anything left to buy Christmas stuff because this place has taking everything from me.so I won't have Xmas this year because ridgemoor has taken it all . Thanks other empty it. I have had that storage since I lived here"
