Williston State College

"Professer quality varies wildly- some do definately care and are fantastic at teaching, others are horrible and will blantently tell you to your face that they don't care if you pass or not. Others simply refuse to help you at all and insist you teach yourself ALL of the material. The cafeteria is really hit and miss but I'm told it's been better recently. Sometimes the meal is downright fantastic and other times they serve you moldy food (yes, really. It depends on who is cooking that day.) Their basketball team harasses people constantly and makes a lot of women uncomfortable, including myself. I don't regret getting a degree here but I wouldn't recommend it if you have literally any other option."

"I absolutely loved my experience of attending my first two years of college here . All of the professors I had genuinely cared about the students . It is a community driven and influenced community college . Because of the small size , you are able to get the one on one help you might need . There are many opportunities for students who apply themselves and want to further educate themselves . Could not recommend more if you are considering going for a trade , continuing your education, or just trying to figure out a life and career path ."

"THE CAFETERIA: The Teton Grill leaves much to be desired in the food quality department. I believe they need to do a much better job as a whole to offer higher quality meals to the amazing student body that attends Williston State College, especially when you look at the amount of money that is asked of from the students. The amount of money paid and the other sacrifices, such as being away from home, being made by the students to attend WSC is large. The Teton Grill should make it a greater priority to provide a high-quality nutrition option for its student body customers, as they deserve it. I will definitely never miss the food after my departure. I rest my case."

"One of the things I like most about this school, is the fact that they offer online courses. I thought I wouldn't like them but I have found that they are great at providing all of the information you need in the course. They help you understand the material and even with the online courses the teachers are a huge help."

"Williston State College is a place where students get individual attention in each of their classes, a stark contrast to the four-year schools on the eastern side of North Dakota. Every professor made it a point to know every student's name, which was incredible for me. I never went to class and felt unwanted, or as though I was a burden to my professors' research time. The college offers several interesting courses each semester, and, from my own experiences, the variety in the classes offers students a well-rounded two-year education for a very manageable price."
