Williams County School District 8

"Probably the single worst school my kids have ever attended. If you want your kids to hate going to school, then by all means, send them here. My children have always loved school until they came here. Absolutely no encouragement for the love of learning, instead they use threats of failing and punishments of alienation from classroom teaching. A minimum of 7 hours of continuous teachings with no breaks with the exception of lunch. This is supposed to be an elementary school, not prison or a military school. The kids are given almost no opportunity except for lunch to interact with other kids to build social skills and friendships . We're planning on moving back home because my kids will never stand a chance here in North Dakota."

"I love this school district 8. My daughter has been going here for four years now and through the oil boom no less.. She had good grades before, she now is on the A Honor Roll. They are attentive and are very loyal to our children's needs. The busing system is great and through this ever changing oil boom has done there best .They are hopefully going to make a new K-12 school and get to vote tomorrow.. Wish us luck as my daughter will be in the public school district 1 until this school is built. But once this is built she will be back in district 8 again, and I would have it no other way.. =)"
