"Last visit bought several hundred dollars worth of 4” pots and asked for a couple boxes- never mind there’s a stack of unfolded boxes right behind her as high as her hip- “those are for Mother’s Day customers”. As I’m loading plants in the back of the truck as carefully as I could for the hour commute home, knowing they’ll be rolling around and beat up- my husband went back in to try to get us a box for our dozens of little plants, had to make a scene to get one- even then he got all the way out to the truck before a gal came out with boxes. As we're driving away, I see the same owner lady who told is that Mother’s Day customers were more important than us, walking a customer with two plants out with her plants in a box. Lost my business forever over a cardboard box."
"Great sale going on in October. Staff are knowledgeable and willing to spend time discussing ideas for landscaping, tree and Shrub issues, great selection of plants that grow well in Grand Junction, and prices are competitive."
"As a conservation biologist and nature photographer I cannot say enough positive things about this business. 1. Excellent Customer Service 2. Diverse selection 3. Excellent Knowledge 4. Value 5. Excellent Experience! I thank each and every one of you for caring about what you do. This allows me to do what I do. The flowers in the photos from Mt. Garfield make the magic.....cheers....."
"Would love to support another local business, but unfortunately can’t due to the way a situation was handled by Travis who I assume has partial ownership in the company...selected and purchased an Umbrella Catalpa tree last May under the guidance of one of their employees. After letting it grow out for the summer/fall season, we realized that it was not looking like normal umbrella catalpas we’ve seen. I brought this to his attention through email this winter letting him know nothing needed done until spring (2023). I tried contacting him 5 different times over the last 2 months leaving him messages each time with the promise I’d be given a call back. That never happened. I finally went in to resolve the situation and was greeted by an extremely annoyed Travis, who was very condescending through the whole conversation. He kept telling me that it was my fault for not knowing what tree I was getting, and “don’t I know the difference between a northern catalpa and umbrella catalpa?!?” and what did I want him to do about it as “he was not sure why this was his problem at all” he acted like I picked the wrong tree and was having buyers remorse or something. I let him know I’d go get the receipt from our house to show that we were sold the incorrect tree, and he said no, quickly went to his office, and came back with a reimbursement certificate saying he looked up our order and found the price we payed at $15x.00 and to go throw the tree in the trash because he didn’t want it back. Clearly he was not telling the truth about finding our order, as we got home, retrieved our receipt and had actually paid $179.99 for it. No biggie, we went ahead and burned through the credit (which was a whole other negative experience in and of itself with a cashier who seemed put off about ringing us out because she was eating her lunch at the register). I will end with not all the employees are bad, there’s actually a lot of great ones there, but we’re glad this experience is over, we’ll just support other local nurseries from now on."
"Picked up multiple perennial landscaping plants. Both for sun and shade. These plants are so lush and healthy. Great sizes, and assortment. For as late in the season as it is, I am thrilled to say I am excited to see them in my planting beds around the waterfall and two Koi ponds! Great experience!"
