"Very poor management, very poor staff, no one knows how customer service actually works here. Inventory always sucks have the things aren't even in the right spot. Nobody knows where anything is. Seriously how is the store even alive Kmart did better than this. I even have an update after trying to call them to let them know what had happened, they hung up on me. Goes to show they do not care! Go to the other two Safeways they actually care have things in stock and know where are the items are."

"I am a DoorDash delivery driver and my latest experience collaborating with Safeway was another unpleasant experience in the never-ending line of unpleasant experiences involving this store. The location I visited today was the 29 rd and Patterson location. More often than not, when I receive orders on DoorDash involving Safeway I always decline. Each location fails to mark clearly where their Delivery services are and often you will end up on the wrong side of the facility playing a guessing game. Once you get to the designated area for Delivery, there is NEVER an employee available to help you and it becomes a waiting game or a scavenger hunt to find somebody to help you. They have never had designated parking for Dashers due to the front area of their parking lots always being cluttered with Handicap and Reserved parking spots. Needless to say, Safeway wastes a lot of my time when I choose to collaborate with them and it has become tiresome. Due to this, I usually pull into the loading and unloading lanes in front of the store while simultaneously using Hazard lights to designate myself as loading/unloading; a common practice amongst Delivery drivers especially when a location does not provide designated parking for us to utilize. I accepted an order for Safeway today because it happened to be a part of a double order that paid well and I decided I could deal with a single pick up from Safeway if it meant getting a good boost. Upon arriving and entering the store with my daughter, I realized I was on the wrong side of the store for Delivery orders because there is no clear marking from the outside to identify which side you need to be on. I immediately had an employee or maybe Manager start brazenly addressing me about where I chose to park. I have a way of being rash in the heat of the moment and knowing this as well as trying to not set a bad example for my daughter, I just continued walking to complete my job. Once I arrived to the delivery area there was no employee available to help me with my order (shocker!). At this point in time, the employee who approached me originally about the parking situation, came over and finally inquired about my status as a delivery driver. This led to him mentioning that there is designated parking for Drivers towards the front of the store which was welcome but unexpected news to me. This was definitely a newer development that has not been available for us for at least the last year of me doing this job. If I had known, I definitely would have used those spots and this whole thing could have been avoided. He got someone to help me and we went our separate ways. In conclusion: I feel like the manner in which I was approached was at the very least inappropriate and at the most very agitating. I did not do anything without reason and instead of an inquiry into what my business was or any form of communication, I was treated like a child. I appreciate the employee keeping calm as well as they could and trying to give me the correct info in the end, but this outcome was muddled by the fact that the prior engagement between us was less than pleasant. I plan to continue avoiding these locations as much as possible, but I felt the need to say something after having what feels like at least a dozen unpleasant experiences trying to work with Safeway over delivery orders. It is my hope that this information will be used constructively."

"I called and the front desk hung up on me 3 times!!! I wanted to place an order with the deli. On the 4th call I believe his name was Dan answered? And got me to the deli! They were very nice had my order ready and waiting! That was nice! So thank you Dan and deli department . 29 road and horizon drive Safeway have the best chicken wings! Don't go to the redlands ! They don't go out of their way for customers"

"A well stocked store. Good variety. Prices are Reasonable. Location easy to get in and out of. I always go here when I come to Grand Junction. I usually shop at their number 1 competition for price. But I have become quite comfortable shopping here for just about everything. The people working here make me feel like I am meeting up with a few old friends. love the atmosphere"

"I have always loved this location from the produce to the staff! They are always willing to help and guide you to locations and they always greet you when they are close to the doors. The woman who is always outside in the morning cleaning the trash in the parking lot is amazing. She shouting have to do it but she does a great job! I love the Starbucks staff Sam the manager The other Sam and Andrew are the reasons I come almost every morning and tell everyone to go to that Starbucks! I always have a great experience there and I know that the quality won’t be lost as long as the store manager is there and those two at Starbucks!"
